I have always harbored a voracious appetite for music. All different kinds of it. I remember friends & family having it play in the background, as they gathered, cleaned or did other things, leading to my disgust and outrage at such a thing. Music was meant to be
listened to, I would explain. As an actor, my theatrical training progressed, and such artists as Depeche Mode, ABC, and Pet Shop Boys released albums saturated with soundscapes, I recognized it for what it was. Sound design as music. Music as sound design. I've been fascinated, nourished & inspired by it since. A theatrical sound designer and a nightclub DJ for over 11 years, I produce under the moniker JHSF (Joe Hudson San Francisco) fusing key elements of both careers resulting in (what I hope) are unique musical twists that defy genre, break rules and define their own progressive rhythm, eclectic style and thematic passion. I strive to create an odyssey for those who crave dramatic expressions in sound, and for
21st Century Express to be often colorful, always unbridled & truly one of a kind...
