Biography

It was KAHERVA SACRA emerge in mind of its founder at 2003 but it fully started and became more solid at first quarter of 2007 but in january 2008 its name changed to AURAMELA, more sweet isn't it? The group members are professional musicians from various background. Our musical concept is: because of there are many influences in Indonesian traditional musical heritage, Melanesian kind of traditional music become one of the richest culture in the world. From the musical approach, We've tried to start from the beggining searching the roots of melanesian music by drawing back the history again and run through another path to one direction: present time. However, that was the basic idea to get into the modern (or post-?) world without loosing our real identity.
