I'm finally a college sophomore. Sure my school has the best (and only) music program in the state, but school isn't going so well now that the truth is out about me reading music... Well I can't. I attempt to read, even on garageband, but I still don't get it.

Now half of you who actually read my page and then heard my music would probably be asking how I wrote all that as original pieces or music. I'll be completely honest; I guess and go with what sounds right. The perfect example for this is the song Silva, which as my professor pointed out; ignores all rules for key signatures, modulation, even chord progressions.

Now for the other band students, guitarists, and piano players who wonder how I get by. I just listen to any piece I want to play first then pretty much mimmic it to the point where it sounds similar and is easy to play.

So if anyone has advice or a website that can teach me to read sheet music that would be excellent.
