| dude you know I have amazing respect for you and am probably your second biggest fan but you did something thats a no-no in my books. ripping off velvet undergound is uncool. the chorus for femme fatale. being that you are my age - ish or older( lets say older to make me feel better) i should think you would have recognized it. im guessing you caught it though just now and are in the works to fix it. in that case... forgiven i'm only heavily critical because you are one of the best artists on iC and it caught me off guard. its such a good song so at least acknowledge it. i am part of the cult |

| a little too midimacman-ish for me no context.. no continuity its like you just grabbed a bunch of loops from the ableton library and jammed in a mix. Must be one of those 5 minute compositions. I don't normally come down on people i enjoy listening to but you can do much better than this. much i'm never going to mince words with you. |

| john... I heart you. your music is inspirational. greatest respect. That being said.... not what I was expecting as a revision. The low end vocal harmony was out of place and it seems like a mashup of 2 songs. It went from dramatic to violent without context. I say this to you because I know you have the chops to understand what I mean. Its almost like an argument between 2 married people that inexplicably turned violent and ended tragically with the survivor left in a puddle of tears and possibly blood wondering what the hell came over them. Mind you... that could also describe most football matches. bring some fluidity back to the song. I know you know you aren't done. |

| simply unspeakable. seems more like the end of a song than the beginning. Its a trick I learned. When you can't move forward.. work from the end and reconstruct in reverse. then maybe just tag on a sustained note with a single word right at the end (same note as your first in this but a higher octave with some falsetto) of this to punctuate. you always have so much drama in your songs. | |

| i like most of this version better. Just a thought though. what if you did the chorus a difference way during the last part of the song for a couple repeats (low volume but still intense. maybe a little accapella with some reverb and delay only slow build up to a smash out finish.) big finish  btw this is a good song i was humming it to myself yesterday |

| nice catchy hook.. there would be 2 different directions to take this. I would change stuff but thats a personal production choice. I know you can hear the awkward parts. first direction. Redo some vocal tracks with a tad less flange/compression and a bit more natural reverb. Needs an ambient background Get some more flow into the guitars. Stronger bass and kick with some ambient reverb. most importantly.. up the tempo about 5 bpm. the other direction is wall of sound with a few more guitar tracks all doubled some with small bits of reverb and feedback. i think you just need to fill in that missing element to make it good though. sometimes that can be accomplished with just a solid ride or a low volume keyboard track with some sustain in the right spots. dont stop working on it. i like what i hear so far. got to say... reminds me of some of my stuff. just a bit younger. hehe after loistenning to the rest of your stuff i am adding you to the favorites. you clearly have a handle on your sound. |

| i like this... its a bit 80's ish. the song itself is solid. add a couple vocal tracks. and pick/choose your parts. plus a teeny bit of effects on the vocals to make them sound less like you are in a deadroom. maybe double up the vocals in the chorus. give yourself a harmony. You have logic studio... use it. wish i had all the tracks so i could work it a bit. i LOVE the falsetto. superb othrewise | |
