Being a megalomaniac I found very hard to comment... why should I press the submit button, I stared at it for hours... why should I submit .... to a button?!? Then I realized the submit button isn't exactly centred... it isn't... it dont look right... it unbalances the whole page. Have a close look ... its not centred. Its driving me nuts.... I am going to tell Powermac about this. I cant even bear the image of it out of the corner of my eye.... Its NOT CENTRED!!!! It should be like this
... SUBMIT ...

But its like this
... SUBMIT ...

Look at it..... its just wrong.... ITS WRONG I tell you!!

nope.. I am not going to submit... never.... never ...never

Very rarely does a song make my hair stand on end. what a haughtingly beautiful mix you have achieved. And the backward guitar is a stroke of genius. I must admit I would have liked the vocals a little dryer.. but then again it adds to the atmosphere.

Thank you all, the surprising thing is after years of playing loud and at time very intense music i find making a piece like this much more satisfying and rewarding. I have forgotten to give credit to GuitarChris, all the guitar work is by him
Coming home to You by Bondiman 6 years ago
thanks all. I am quite pleased with this myself, it really was just an eperiment to test out garageband. As i recall I think Rinca sang it off the top of her head after she dropped by for a visit and I pushed a microphone in front of her.
Cafe De Grace - repost by Bondiman 6 years ago
Yes this one was fun to do... the original version of this had a monotone bass line and was actually banned from being played at my home ( my girlfriend is very sensitive to unharmonious music ). I changed the bass line and the piece came alive.

spine tingling! great energy throughout and delivered so beautifully.

something about the production that I love is the way the electric guitar just flowers out from the piano... very nice mix
mellow yellow by thiggypop 6 years ago

I am going to stick my neck out and say that i did not like the treatment you gave this. the song starts with promise but you drifted into "modern harmonies" towards the end and even though the contrast between mellow and jarring may be considered artistic or even funny, it just didn't agree with me at all. Performance & production was good but it was too yoko ono for my taste.

Bring back the 60's... lets have a revolution!!

man... music is about feeling and soul... this has it, and whats more its stirring people on both the philosophy of the words AND the musical content. BUT and a big BUT it makes me want to dance... and play air guitar and air drums... and if there where strings in the arrangement I bet i would play air conductor as well

Very good! I think would be even better if you used a little peddle on the piano... let thos bass notes ring smiley The drums section gave a nice contrast. would have been nice to return to the piano at the end. BTW It needs an ending

Nice piano & and nice tone on the guitar. Lovely chords on that piano. I thought in parts a little busy with too many variations of instruments, but overall an effective piece.

Between Strangers (a Fractal Garden track) by Ignoramus 6 years ago
My 2 cents worth... Very very good. I Love Guitar & synths that work together. Lots of early floyd and genisis in this one.

For my taste.. I would tone the guitar just a tad back a bit. Otherwise enjoyed it imenseley (sorry cant spell that word) ...big... uhm.. greatly

Cheers and look forward to hearng more from both of you

lies by ponkey 6 years ago
5

Heya Ponky and Lilichi, very nice collab. Its relentless and hypnotic. I like the concept. For me the bass is like a heartbeat and the words are like the thoughts in ones head as one contemplates a relationship - well thats my take on it smiley

On the production side of things perhaps the bass could have been a more defined and that occcasional guitar riff given a slighly fatter tone. Overall the production is very good.

Happy accident or not I love this type of moody music. Nice work

Not Bad.. Possibly I would prefer a thicker sound on the lead guitars (more low mids and more sustain). The melodies in the guitars and the vibes splice together well. - Enjoyed it

Production was good. Althogh I felt the drums are a little heavy. Perhaps a little melodic line in the distance with a horn or a synth to enhance its haunting quality. Love the water droplets percussion smiley
