| Hello Elaine! Good to see you again! Re: my inspiration on this track... I was on YouTube and was watching videos of people playing with the sounds banks on old Emulator II's and got in the mood to write something. I have wanted an Emulator II since they came out in the 80's, but could never afford their $8-$12,000 price tag. You can find them for less than a grand nowadays and that's very promising. Finding a really good one with a full sound library is a challenge though. I love the distinctive sound they produce with their analog filters and lower sample rate. Anyway, when I get the urge to write something, I figure that I'd better take advantage of it while it's there, or I will lose it. Take good care, Elaine and thanks for stopping by! -Boris |

Thanks to the advent of the internet and the creators of iComp, people from all over the world can listen to, create, collaborate and enjoy what every creative being here has to offer. There is truly something for everyone's tastes here and so many talented people (yourself included). If I were to download all of the songs I really wanted to on this site alone, I just might have filled my 2 TB drive by now and the great tracks just keep coming!!! We are living in a great age; the digital age, with the ability and freedom to share our thoughts, music, ideas, talents etc. with the entire world and across so many wonderful cultures. It used to be (back in the day) you needed an actual studio with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment to do what most of us do on our Macs or PC's now. It's amazing how far we have come. I like to look back every once in a while, to see where we've been; just so I can appreciate where we are now. It's amazing the production quality we are capable of on a small desktop computer. I think sometimes we take it for granted, the power we have with the ability to do what 20 years ago would be absolutely unattainable, to the average person...short of winning the lottery, of course. Anyway, very lovely track (as usual) from you, Ramona! You are so creative on so many levels and your spontaneity is priceless. |
