OUTERWORLDS by Bowman 6 months ago
I'm always interested in process. With this I began this knowing I wanted to do something that was Space oriented themed.

That was the challenge given members of McJams. I was and am a pretty big SciFi and Science fan so it was a good fit for me. Early on I thought about a journey to a far world and the parts of it that I wanted to create music for. Then I began trying to get into the mood of each part and began improvising themes and rhythms for each section. Some never went anywhere but eventually I found some beginnings of ideas and began to develop them. I actually wound up with 6 movements but at the last minute decided to open with the more dramatic Base.

Thanks for the question maglasser. It's fun talking about how we get here. I'd love to here from you and others about their process as well.
Cheers,
Charlie
