A Cappella Tip of the Week
November 8, 2005 | 12:33 pm

Here's another exciting and helpful tip from yours truly on making your A Cappella jams more appealing and full for your listeners.

TIP 2 - EAR CANDY...the sweetest sounds.

It's one thing to lay down a jam that's got a sweet sound. It's another thing to add little nuances to the song that will give it life.

Try this: the next time you lay down the melody line (after you've doubled up, of course) take the last phrase in that line and sing it on another track. When you've done that, decrease the volume on that track and add some sort of effect like chorus or flange. This is will give your song life simply by adding some flavor with an idea you've already created!

If you're confused by what I'm talking about, I'll lay down a sample of this later in the week. Until then, have fun and sing well!
