A Cappella Tip of the Week
November 20, 2005 | 11:28 am
Can you believe it!?!? It's been a month since I started posting entries for everyone to read. WOW! Well, here comes another goodie for you.
TIP 4 - When in doubt, LOOP IT OUT!
The key to keeping your song in tune is looping it out. If your song contains a lot of repetitive lyrics, sing it right once, double it (remember TIP 1), and then just loop it if need be.
If you want an example, listen to BIG FISH. This song is a prime example of looping it out. Now, I would say that I have a pretty easy time keeping things in tune when I just sing it straight through. But, when you're sitting in front of your computer for hours on end trying to lay a song down, you tend to lose your groove in the tune. Looping it out will ensure that your music stays fresh, in tune, and consistent. If you loop it out, you'll never go wrong.
And I'm out!
