![]() A beautiful tune. The composition is wonderful and the playing is very emotive. There is definitely not enough literature like this for the Alto Thanks for posting this. Do you have a score available? |

![]() Saw your thread over at MJs. This was absolutely poifect! Nice little Christmas present, thanks! You've got that torch-singer sound nailed. --Graham My Latest: Galaxy Band 8 - http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=101173 |

| Exceptional composition. A nice fanfare without the bombast. | |
| Tango Moderne (LogicExpress) by georgeptingley | 4 years ago |
![]() This is a very nice evocative piece. I like the sparseness of the overall texture, each instrument just adding touches to the whole tapestry. Pacing is very nice and production is spot on and clean. Thanks! |

| Hey Mungo, thanks for the listen. I'm usually hanging out on MJ, but just dropped in today after a long break. Hmm...maybe I'll start posting again here, most of my stuff is totally buried an un-listened to. Ah well! Glad you enjoyed it, it was fun to create. | |

| Nice piece. I love the textures and percussion. GB? Where are the vovoder effects coming from? Anyway, I just upgraded from LE7 to LS8. LS8 is fantastic! You are going to love it! --Graham |

![]() Very nice song. You've got a lot going in this, rhythm goes a little off in some spots in acoustic guitar backing part, but otherwise a fine tune. |

![]() You forgot to mention your DGX-500! I have one too...nice little keyboard actually. If you're ever running OMS in OS9, I created a names file for it...it can be found here: http://vision.agektmr.com/Download/e_top.html Like the wall treatments and overall organization of the space...relaxing. |

| Shenandoah2 (Ivory piano/pad) by ssstebbe | 5 years ago |
![]() I do hear the hiss, but it's a nice perfomance and arrangement regardless. I also note that the sound is a little less lively than it probably is direct from Ivory. Time to get Logic Express...you should be able to get an academic discount since you are in education ($150). LE will solve your problems since you can "Bounce" (i.e. mix down) in real time and avoid the issues with the Ivory plug-in. Also, once you get used to it, you'll be happy with the additional capabilities and it actually uses less CPU than GB does! LE is also great for looser tempos and using multiple time signatures. |

![]() Sounds like she's singing in Irish. Again an outstanding production. Nice arrangement...I like the global arrangement with the shak, spanish guitar, Irish singing, western strings. Very Kate Bush-esque. |

![]() This is great! I just came accross your music this morning. Really nice production and creative use of loops. I like the use of the Vocal Transformer on those Middle Eastern vocal loops, really changes things up. Nice! |

![]() A very beautiful and lyrical piece. Nicely orchestrated and wonderfully played. Very much a soundtrack feeling to it, but the emotion of the playing really shines through. |

![]() Wow...the production on this is sooo much better than on Part 1 (Lady Greystoke). Clear destinction of the musical lines and timbres, great production ... prog meets world ... Great job! If I may, the only thing you may want to do is look at the overall dynamic structure...kind of give it some overall shape to tell the story. |

![]() Very nice remix. I'd love to hear her voice unaltered as well...sometimes it feels that the natural articulations are hidden under the vocal tuner effects (maybe a nice justuposition of natural and artificial articulations?). Also the ending seems a bit abrupt since you're not using any stutter effects anywhere else. Otherwise a clean production and an enjoyable listen. |

| The Watch for Agamemnon by Bubowski | 5 years ago |
| Thanks for the comments David. I want to post the poem, but I need to get permission from my brother before hand. It's never been officially published, so he's sensitive about his writing going out on the air waves. I'm working on getting the second movement into Finale so I can render out the audio: the rest of the piece has never been performed. It'll be good to have it in Finale anyway, so I can print parts in case I pursuade the local university band to perform it. | |

| Thanks Jayman,I'm not usually a loop oriented composer, but I just wanted to kick the tires on the new instruments and have some fun. I always like to try and do something melodic with the loops if possible. Kind of like this song...http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=17968 | |

![]() This is great drak. Love the real trumpet. If you want, send me the violin part...there are some very nice solo violin samples in GPO that would improve thins a bit (barring having a real violin)and I can send you back a sound file for that part. Any... great job...a very nice piece. |

| American Symphony (Second Movement) by atwood1956 | 6 years ago |
![]() In general I really like this. The woodwinds sound great, horns are good, but the string articulations aren't so good (no fault of yours...the string articulations in JP4 are definitely bizarre). The strings in Garritan Personal orchestra are very nice, but forgoing the expense of that you may want to mess with the envelope settings for JP4 strings...add a little release time to help make them sound more legato maybe. Otherwise a very nice composition. |

| Acoustic Piano Improv by Bubowski | 6 years ago |
| I think there is some distortion from the tape in there. It was digitized from a REALLY old audio cassette on a not so new cassette deck, so that's probably where the tuning problems are coming from. Thanks for the comments. | |
| Quartet for C Instruments Movement III by glendt | 6 years ago |
![]() Some of the best classical (modern) music from GB that I've heard so far. Good job! If there was only a way to get the articulations on the flute trills to sound more legato... |
|
| Inland Seas II by kristyjo | 6 years ago |
![]() Sounds like you've been listening to Vaughn-Williams! Nice theme and orchestration. If you are a Finale user you should check out Finale 2005 and the Garritan Personal Orchestra. Absolutely beautiful orchestral sounds for the price and the two applications work well together. You can also use the GPO instruments inside of GBand or Logic. |

![]() One of the best pieces I've heard on this site. Not too sure about that Who-like section at about 4 minutes, it's a bit out of character for the rest of the piece. Otherwise very nice. |
