![]() Sounds like more is going on then just a friendship. The way you throw in those quick little runs on the keys is great! They're almost like a drum fill, but so much more greasy. You really demonstrate how a piano can sound/feel like it can be in either the percussion or the string section. |

| Bluebird by Dyl | 2 years ago |
| Due to the fact that my first posting on icomp was also called "Bluebird" and that Dylan is the artist doing this, I just had to take a good listen to this one. What a great version! Your music is always so dimensional! |

| One more thing... something about this makes me think of Marvin's Inner City Blues. I don't know, 70's Chicago soul sound. | |
| You're Like Whiskey by BossHook | 2 years ago |
![]() Your lyrics are both moving and contemplative, with all pretentiousness and ego left at the alter of pain. In other words, I really admire your musical priorities and your ability to marry art and truth. In fact, I believe the best artists find and illuminate their own frailties in ways that connect to others. You do that very well. |

| Fat Chance by nlsn | 3 years ago |
| The gtr and bass are fantastic in their own right. However, your voice brings it to another level. The way your voice harmonizes between the gtr and the bass is incredible. Also when you ride out a line with you voice, it has this unique natural effect that make me think of a slide guitar. Really righteous stuff!! |
|
| Night Jam by MusicLeft | 3 years ago |

| Shut it tight by Dyl | 3 years ago |
| This bleeds emotional content, which comes from truth. Sometimes it reaps pain, but it is life, even between the words and the notes. | |
| THE DOCTOR SAYS by Barretok | 3 years ago |
| There is so much to listen to on icomp and so little time, but when I saw your names listed playing Da Blooz and knew this would be good. What a great trio! All of you play with that incredibly important musical element, "Personality". |
|
| God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (Revisited) by aaront | 3 years ago |
![]() Your Vox is better every time I hear you and I dug it out of the gate. This time though, Man! You really nailed it! The word that comes to mind is "Gripping". This sound grabs at the inside and doesn't let go. Now that's Soul! Most people I hear trying to sing this way are way to loose. This is perfect. |
|
| I ain't got nothing but the blues by Xolv | 3 years ago |
![]() Sounds like talking guitars ...underwater to boot!! Definitely more than "just" the blues. It clearly has a multi-movement construction...and Yes, as John said a groovy 70's sit com flavor. Barney Miller maybe? Cool!! |

| Cheatin' Man by Naaji | 3 years ago |
![]() It really takes talent to take raw, naked form like da Blooz and make it special. You did that. It makes me think of a cross between Robert Plant and Screamin' Jay Hawkins. |

| I Delight in You by Bulerias | 3 years ago |
| Just logged on to check out your comments. I haven't been around icomp in awhile. So, this was a very pleasant surprise to see some of those tried and true and a few that I never knew. 8MonthMalfunction, Yea, your right. This music is quite bright, but it's probably needed if you listen to my other comps. Listening to my music for any length of time, will necessitate a significant supply of anti-depressants, just to make it through the day. All kidding aside, although I didn't write this, it was a lot of fun to play on and it was good to pull me out of my own little world. Also, making Pop music does take a special talent, so I have a great deal of respect for Mark Miller, who wrote this. My only point is, it is quite different for me. Thanks again. Bul. |

![]() I think this was a fantastic song choice and you performed it magnificently. Very beautiful!! |
|
| Hush Hush by RAVENS | 3 years ago |
| Yes, this defines "Drama". I don't think I have ever heard anything like this. I'm not familiar with Tori Amos. Maybe a little David Bowie? I don't know, but this is great. Very Dark. I might have put more reverb in there for this kind of thing, but I might have been wrong. Did I say this was great? WOW! | |

![]() "Latest" huh? Is that a French abrev. for "La testical" The Hammond appears to be saying... "Oo, Oo, Oo, Uuua, La, La, Watch out ladies. I'm pulling out my balls". |
|
| The Shape Of Your Legs by Dyl | 3 years ago |
| It's Beautiful! I know it's over used, but I do not believe there is a better description than "Beautiful" for this. The word "gorgeous" is too haute. charming is too shallow. This is deep, warm, sensual and saturated with emotion. It is Beautiful! |

| High Hopes (Pink Floyd Cover) by LaFayette | 3 years ago |
| This is a superlative take on a classic with the production, performance and the whole nine yards. I never would have thought of Dylan for the vox but WOW! What a great choice and match up!! Now, I couldn't imagine anyone else doing this cover any better. I wish we could download this. |
|
| Your Religion by Leesa | 3 years ago |
![]() "My mind is open for the moment." I love that line among others and eventhough i'm not into reincarnation, the artistic decision to repeat the "I'll do it again and again and again" reference over and over is a very creative one. Very nice! |
|

| Dont You Take My Blues Away by guitar55 | 3 years ago |
![]() Those blooz dig so deep, it would take an oil rig to excavate them. Man! The tone with that reverb, sounds so good! It really hits the spot, just the way the blooz are supposed to. |
|
| Babe I'm Gonna Leave You (Led Zeppelin cover) by LaFayette | 3 years ago |
| This could be used as a backdrop for a movie. Some parts sound Floydish and some parts sound like the Scorpions. At any rate, I like your interpretation...and I love that art work too!! | |
| Business as usual by KCsGROOVE | 3 years ago |
| If Mark Knopfler had been a part of the Beach Boys instead of Dire Straits, it might have sounded like this. Very fine work! |

| Stand for what you believe by DaveM | 3 years ago |
| Totally pro production and performance !! I like the message too, just would add or emphasize part of your lyrical content... Pick your politcal battles and don't "believe"every caterwauling demagogue that comes around. Don't throw your pearls to swine. Certainly as some have sacrificed their lives for noble causes, we can certainly at the very least speak up for those causes. |

|
| Wake Up by blueprintorchestra | 3 years ago |
![]() Everything about this comp is brilliant. I love the simple but piercing lyrics, the vox, the keys, the guitars, all of it. btw. i've been wondering were the "TONE" was hiding. |
|
| Out of Time (The No Mas Mix) by aaront | 3 years ago |
![]() Within two seconds, I was thinking Stevie Wonder and then I heard your lyrics "I Wonder". My response to that is...Yes, yes you do. You can "Wonder" better than Eddie Murphy because he imitated and you somehow made this your own. This comp is my favorite of yours to date and that's saying a lot because you have so many great contributions. |

| Blues On My Mind by Dyl | 3 years ago |

| Lies Lies (w/Lunatrick) by MickD | 3 years ago |
![]() Wow! What a production, vox, guitar...!! It sounds better than most "pro" music now days. I really mean that. The performance and production are more instep with were the 80's could have and should have gone. How do you make the vocals sound so warm without that digital harshness? Amazing comp! |
|
| Camo in the Castle by camomilla | 3 years ago |
![]() The vox on this really breaths life into this with its strong presence. I also like how you made that dramatic musical turn at the beginning and built everything up at the end. Great stuff!! |
|
| Brixton Ceilidh by feenixx | 3 years ago |
| There is so much going on here. It's amazing how you have taken so many musical elements with seemingly chaotic directions and tied them all together into one movement. It does remind me of a Celtic dance in that way. Super work here! | |

| This is the first time I've heard you. This comp is all the way around great but it's that vox that knocks me out. It does sound like knopfler but with a little more bass. Really "Smok'n" stuff!! | |
| Smile (remastered cover) by Geechi3 | 3 years ago |
![]() Beautiful, warm and courageous are the first words that come to mind. Both the lyrics and the execution are wrapped in these 3 words. What a great example of taking on life! |

| Moment in Between (Then and Now) by Bulerias | 3 years ago |
| Thanks Raven, Phil and Bernardo. B. I'm glad you noticed the Spanish influence. I didn't want to say anything in the description. Just wanted to see if anyone could hear it with all that electricity. I mix a lot of Blues with Flamenco in my playing. As most musicians, I'm trying to find my own sound and that's part of it. Thanks for noticing. Bul. |
