Fighting What I Cannot See by DeadBrideSyndrome 2 years ago

Finally could hear it, and was well worth waiting till iComp recovered all data. Tense and clear, fully descriptive of your inner struggle; impressive lyrics.

Keep up your artistic expression and your joy of life, they're the biggest and best healers around.

Quite certainly Monteverdi is very proud for having his music in iComp, and so well sung.

I share your admiration for him. You certainly also made a huge favor to every musician who never heard his works before, as well as to those who have also sung some of his music - like myself - just to let them know how it should be done. Many thanks!

Oh yes, what a voice...

My... What a song... What a singer...
Superb sound & production.

Immediate favorite: thank you for sharing this jewel, though I'm normally not a fan of this genre!
The Tree of Life by Mystified 2 years ago

Delicate and relaxing, with a non-ending end that seems to invite the listener to replay all mentally...

Makes me wonder how you managed to reach such a perfectly quiet inner athmosphere, as one always gives what he (or she) already has.

Masterful.
Un tango para accordeon, orquestra y piano. by maestro_skillz 2 years ago

The passionate temperament of the Tango also caught me when I was more or less your age; sadly I could only try to convey its athmosphere on the piano with my hands (not great, neither then nor now).

Your rendering of the Tango is perfect, its full spirit is there. What pleasure! I particularly like when the pizzicato strings enter.

Thank you for sharing your rich musical talents!

Very effective, the scene comes out perfectly without seeing the pics.
Scoring for films is very clearly your job, man. Not that anyone had doubts...

This is what I call a perfect blend: beautiful melody, well harmonized, tastefully arranged. Irresistible, full stars for Enjoyment.

I can't decide if I like it best like this or in GreginAlaska's sung version... so they both go in my favorites!

English: it's almost unnerving to hear what you can do with a sore throat...

Ci farai impazzire!
Blues for Kid Ory by rfwilmut 3 years ago

Well done, man. It takes me back to when I was 16 and played trumpet in a jazz band -- what fun!

No better way to remember Kid Ory and all the huge artists of his time, who were my idols.
(Giving stars on "ceativity" wouldn't make sense since it's admittedly a revival tune).

Very few are trying their skills on this genre: thanks for doing it, you got the spirit. Plz don't stop here...
MUSICLEFT - Other Eyes by MusicLeft 3 years ago

Antonello handles out more music in one beat than most bands in one song, and always so involvingly you can't escape.
Pezlab's saxophone sings calmly, with the right expression and perfect blend; maybe he underestimates his powers a bit?
The overall sound is a bit low and softish, but knowing Seles' mixing ability that's clearly a choice -- and actually contributes much to the athmosphere.

(Pez, real musicians simply can't play things exactly the same way twice -- and you should know!).

Ahh, why is it over already?

The incredible ease with which you deal with any kind of musical element is quite amazing.

Freedom of expression, fresh wit and a huge range of flavors all together (happens rarely).

Lucky you... and we who listen!

A musician makes music even if depressed or sleeping...
There's a deep respect for Beauty in this piece, even if well hidden between dissonances and tensions.
Here again, an Artist turns bad into good -- without that depressive moment you probably wouldn't have made this piece smiley.
Third surprising work of yours I've heard today. ...But now smile!

Quite a shock, especially right after listening to your delicate "Celto liguri".

After getting one's breath back, however, it's awesomely involving. You two sure make up an explosive mixture!

A big example of almost "outlaw" music -- no, not totally: rhythm is the legal kind smiley.

Slowly recovering... A great experience, thank you!
Celto Liguri by Cheska 3 years ago
5

Delicate and serene, with the typical rhythm asymmetries of Celtic music; a winter dance in the simple but noble spirit of this chunk of Earth.

Ohlanda gets it with absolute precision; those who never had a trip around here can have a clear idea from your music. A pity that I discovered this piece two months too late.

BTW, how's the weather on Jupiter?
El loco en la calesita (Cover) by lilichi 3 years ago

Haven't heard other versions, but yours has certainly gone under my skin -- dangerously, as Gokhanercis correctly says.

Macoco's playing makes the athmosphere with self-effacing, subtle and irresistible strength; Lili's voice-acting is so deep one realizes she's not been singing only after the song is over. The text makes the rest (good to have it translated, but worth learning some Spanish).

Impossible not to have in one's favorites.

A deep bow to both of you!

Interesting piece! Definitely personal style, could be very much enhanced by stereo - it's flat mono now - and some careful effects.

Keeps me always in tension, with continued doubts about major and minor, seldom if ever settling in either mode till the end. If this is the effect you wanted, you've got it!

This is the REAL blues! No, I don't mean the changes, which are different.

You got the legacy of the great blues singers I love, and while I heartily wish you to get out of any financial constraint, I can't help thinking that you wouldn't have sung this song without...

If nobody ever told you this, let me do it: you are a really Born-Blues-Singer -- and a wonderful one.
Piano y Suerte by Capoverde 3 years ago
Thank you all, I never expected such a warm appreciation.

Moses is quite right, maybe I'll make a better mix sometime; and so is Arya, I didn't notice the dancer -- she was hidden by the grand.(lol)

Why look for good songs in the disc shops (often with poor results...) when one finds them here in iComp, even in his own mothertongue?

I wish there were more "musical illiterates" like you! Well sung, pity not everybody will understand the lyrics. Er,

(...ahi...)

The lightness and harmony that come out from your playing say that you're not far away from that world. Lucky you...

Big THANKS for this present, goes straight into your personal directory of course, and my favorites.

An incredibly belly-dancing DrummerBoy!

Masterful singing and tasteful "contamination" with Arabic-style phrasing and drumming; never boring till the end, even though actually the theme never changes.

Real musical talent and wits. Today's music lesson for me.

Simplicity always wins.
Very well sung, not overproduced; rhitmic but relaxing; pleasantly "vinylized", surprising with the overlapping canon in the final. A perfect holiday!

***I'm quite envious of your singing.***

Really sunny!

Musicians dance with their soul, dancers use their body. Lucky who can do both like you, Arya (haha, spotted you on the net!).

Please make more of these, all will be dancing along with your pure youthful joy.

Absolutely agree with jdwyer: this one is real strong, a potential big smash. Note: I usually don't like rock... except when it's tops.

Aspetto i prossimi pezzi.

One of the best works I've found here (till now, at least) from the viewpoint of musical balance!
Immediate favorite.
(It has taken a moment to recover from the shock, I've just read you're 13).

You're obviously more than just talented: the strength of your musical ideas and their rendering show a mature, clear and straight musical mind - excuse me, it's a pain to find words that express these impressions. Maybe it'd be better to simply say

Marvelous.

So deeply involving it takes a while to "wake up" after listening to it, or, to be more precise, after dreaming along with.

What is extraordinary is that one feels totally free with his feelings, and that's probably why there are different, even opposing, descriptions of its mood.

A real masterpiece, I'm compelled to bow deeply like Ziti.

Veramente interessante. Basta saperci fare...

Chicken Lesson (how to sing like a chicken) by Mystified 3 years ago

Delightful!
I'm going to take this one along at my choir sessions - well, our singing teacher normally speaks in Birdese, you know: cheep, chirp, tweek tweek. Serious.
Nay, I didn't look at the lyrics for chickenese: I do understand everything in that language. My problem was English, of course.
The final touch was the poultry ads appearing on top of the song page... Five stars for fun, too.
