Biography
Crash Control was originally formed by founding member Dave French. Dave first picked up the guitar at age 16 and immediately took an interest in writing music and lyrics. In the early 1990’s, Dave formed the band The Sound Of Fury with two friends from high school. The Sound Of Fury played some local shows, but spent the majority of their time writing original material and rehearsing. It was during these writing sessions that Dave honed his writing and playing style. The Sound Of Fury was mostly influenced by the ’80’s metal scene, but as their songs began to form they found their style was heavy but didn’t fall into the typical metal genre of the time.
Although The Sound Of Fury eventually disbanded, Dave continued to write and record original material throughout the ‘90’s. Between 1999 and 2002, Dave hooked up with a synth-pop band called Haven. Dave contributed some guitar work on their album “Euphoria” and also played with them live in support of their followup CD “Aberration”.
In 2003, Dave began to focus on writing and recording new material again. Crash Control was formed as an outlet for these new recordings.
Anything but conventional, Crash Control reinforces the mentality of pure music with no outside limitations. Crash Control fully records, promotes and manages itself, leaving the music creation process uninhibited.
