Biography
I was Djing for many years, underground, techno, house, rave, minimal and breakbeaty stuff and started to get into the production side as a natural progression from when two tracks started to become limiting and never looked back.
I love to dance and even though I do attempt to make chilled tracks too, some sort of electronic dancy influence always wants to push through. In fact I like the eclectic approach to dancable and kick back toones.
Orbital and leftfield and massive attack are some good examples of eclectic stuff that has strongly influenced me.
others include the Orb, KLF, Gong and the pot head pixies, Brian Eno, happy mondays, primal scream, Pink Floyd, 808 state, LFO, Kraftwerk, Boys Noize, James Holden, Evil Nine, Adam Freeland, Stone Lions, Manu Chao, Zero 7, Talvin Singh, Chemical Brothers, Long Range, Clap your hands say yeah, the whitest boy alive, the postal service, DJ Carl Cox, sahsa, Bukem, Digweed, Beltram, Groove Rider, Mickey Finn, Top Buzz, DJ Krush & DJ Shadow and mo wax and ninja tunes, Jeff Mills, Kruder and dorfmeister, four tet, Jose Gonzalez, Tricky Disco, Portishead, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Chopin, Cinematic Orchestra, The Prodigy, The Theivery Corporation, The Velvet Underground, Dylan, Zakir Hussain, Aphex Twin, Yungchen Lhamo, Lamb and so many many more.
I also love Bangra, bollywood and world music. I have travelled a lot, and even learnt tibetan and Mongolian throat singing in Mongolia and India so that also may explain a touch of alternative and 'world' in my music.
ok, will add more here laters.....
