pretty awesome for sure. I looove the intro, you could put that in the beat as well as a pretty tight interlude or bridge. The only problem i have is that the snare hurts my ears a bit. maybe just cut a tiny bit of the treble off the snare. otherwise awesome. if you post the tempo, i could tell you some pretty sweet acapellas that would go to this.
back to basic (with vocals) ( pour un retour aux sources) by rustyred 3 years ago
haha i recognize that rex man. i like the bassline alot. i get my acapellas from acapellas4u.co.uk

wow this caught me by surprise. i havent heard this beat in a looong time you complement it very nicely hit me up if you want some newer beats that sound a lot better. this is awesome.

i agree with icepack. the melody and harmony is tight, production values just need to be upped a bit

can i pleasse remix this?
Durty DJ by MC_Mesiah 3 years ago
i think the melodies are hte problem. the bass is ok, but the primary melody just sounds wrong. i would mess around with it a little more. unless you like dissonance, which is fine
Strangers In The Night by MrFreeze676 3 years ago
i think this is perfect. this is the best beat i have heard on icomp in a long time. did you do the scratching? this is so good man

UNTITLED SNIPPIT by Symplistik 3 years ago
i think sometimes samples are already good the way they are (not cut up). Even though I hate myself when I use a straigh loop, I think this song calls for it.
Ladies Blues by Symplistik 3 years ago
this beat is awesome. there is this song by AZ called AZ's Chillin that you can get the acapella for that I know is the exact tempo of this song. If you don't combine them, I will haha

what vocoder do you use?
Jésus Christo by nickbeast 3 years ago
im not offended at all, i think its actually pretty funny, but the lyrics make absolutely no sense to me. but maybe thats the point. the only problem is the overwhelming static that drowns out the tight instrumental
Chopped Beef Po-Boy (Spinner Wheels Mix) by Uplink 3 years ago

eh. i think the drums are weak, and the sample is awkward, personally.
Help! by Stranger 3 years ago

definitely big beats, but I think the instrumentation could be a bit more creative and interesting sounding. i get kind of bored with the strings and fake sounding brass. good job though
Living Through Conflicts by nickbeast 3 years ago

i really like the guitar usage in this song. did you play that electric guitar? i definitely agree that this beat would be better suited to a different themed song though
We're Comin' For Ya (Remastered) by MC_Mesiah 3 years ago
4

definitely hot. my only complaint is the instrumentation. this type of synth is SO overplayed. however, you definitely make it work in this context. as debussy said: "I do what pleases me ear." nice job
Violence by nickbeast 3 years ago
4

nice nice. i like the heavy synth, pretty kanye/timbaland. lyrics are nice, flow might use a little work. then again, I know nothing about rapping, as I cheat and just take lyrics from the greatest MCs of all time. but this is a great track, the best I have heard from you so far (out of the three I have heard). nice sample too. I have never heard hey jude used like this. good work.

I love that pad. The bassline is a bit harsh. Maybe a different instrument would remedy that. The rhodes are also a nice touch. the drums are fire, but where is that kick? it reminds me a lot of the theme to Grand Theft Auto IV, which, if you have heard it, is a great compliment
Economy in Hell by nickbeast 3 years ago

You have the lyrics and the flow down. Now you just need to turn your attention to the beat, which, no offense, is pretty "loopy." I am confident that you could make a better one yourself without loops.
Percussive Funk by camomilla 3 years ago

i love the flow along with the awesome beat. rhythm is the last relatively unexplored area of music, and you do a great job at breaking the mold. I just dont like the instrumentation at the end. nice though. i dont even know what genre I would call this, which is a good thing.

I cant believe I have never herad this. this beat is FIRE son. I mean wow man. The only thing is I would have some different, ringing, big drums. Like a big crashing snare like in that matrix right song. But wow awesome

This is extremely tight. Awesome, different sounding drums. This isnt a boring generic techno song. We should definitely get a techno collab going i have a great idea for a breakdown for this. Awesome stuff.

Train Crash by petew432 5 years ago
You know, i like your stuff, but i really dont like this. There is just so much assonance. Its cool and its different, but in my opinion, its not great music. What would be sweet is if you made it an intro, then suddenyl phased it to a tight beat
Puppets by petew432 5 years ago
4

I love this song, its very tight. Great job, i make music the same way chopping is great. It would be infinitely better with a fatter snare and some hats to fill in those silent spots, the whole song sounds like an intro, and i keep waiting for those fat drums to just kick in. good job
Goldwave by DJMarvel 5 years ago
yeah man i appreciate all your support, im working on a techno album right now with a whole bunch of techno remixes to movie soundtrakcs, but i just got a Mac Pro, and ima bout to get back on the rap kid
Drive Fast by DJMarvel 5 years ago
thanks mayne yo know i appreciate it
Crash Landing by AtommikBoy 5 years ago
yo e, this is good, but it could be better. It doesnt sound as professional as your better tracks. The drums dont need to be turned up, rather, they need to be built into the track more. right now it sounds like the drums are one song, the rest of the instruments another, and then you just layered them. Maybe bring out the strings a little more with some stereo imaging, especially in the 100 range. Good stuff as always. Also, did you put up that announcement about the producers club, and if so, when we meet?
Dreamer ft. Geechi3 by AtommikBoy 5 years ago
nice eddie, make the drums tighter, and put some panning on that rhodes, make her voice louder, and try adding a flanger to those bells. veyr nice stuff man i like it
Sure by DavidVidalProductions 5 years ago

Good concept, but it just sounds very cheesy. Try some reverb and some heavy basslines to spice it up
Dabrickashaw by DJMarvel 5 years ago
Did you listen to the whole song? Its not finished, but i didnt think its repetetive, and if it is ill put in some variation. also, what's a two step? Thanks for the comments, raisin, hold it down

eddie i love thie so much. Very nice very nice. drums arent yours? i can tell. If you did the scratching you have to teach me.

good rough draft. good tones and rhythm, i like the feel, i never imagined this as a vocal track like this but its hot. If you want, I can mix this one. Just record your vocals and send them to me in an email and i can get down on all the effects and everything. stay up. Oh, also, what he said.

I love Reason. good job.
And Don't Forget It by Lightning31 5 years ago
this is nice, but i think the instruments you chose are kind of boring. maybe some reverb or unison effects would spice it up, and some heavier, bassier (if thats a word) drums. Great idea, but it could be much more engaging

djsouth i dont use garageband. I use Reason 3.0 and Goldwave for sampling. Personally, I fell garageband is limited, and a better sound can be achieved with teh right mastering.
