Does anybody really read these things?

Hi,

I'm not much for blogging, but here I go...

I have not posted anything new in a while on iComp because I am dead in the middle of 4 new songs that are taking longer than I thought they would.

Most of that is my fault, I just started a new job with IBM and loving it, but after a long day I sometimes just don't get to spend too much time on my music on weekdays.

Recently, I bought Native Instruments' KORE 2 and KOMPLETE 8 and I've been going thru all the cool goodies and gadgets and learning how to use them.

If you are looking for a really great package of soft synths and more I cannot emphasize enough how great all of Native Instruments gadgets are!!

Now I sound like a spokesperson. But I'm not, I just know what I like and want to share it with everyone.

Currently I am working on 4 songs.

One is a remake of Gary Numan's "Are Friends Electric?" and it's been a lot of hard work because it's one of my favorite songs of all time and I don't want to screw it up.

I've already tossed out 4 test mixes and working on another now. Plus, I am doing the vocals on it as well!

I'm also working on a song I call "The Shadow Machine" and I am using the sound from videos on YouTube and Earthfiles.com of the strange "Gabriel's Horns" sounds that people are reporting all over the planet.

I heard them myself and frankly it scared the crap out of me. it's a very spooky sound and I get goosebumps every time I hear them.

I took those recordings and I am using them in the song. I'm hoping to have the song finished before my birthday in April.

MH2010 Artist	02-24-12 /USA! Yeah. Komp 8's FAST FX.ens is phat. Have you started using that in MIDI for soft synth yet? It's awesome and endless once you get into mapping samples, etc. The counterpart .Kore extension version next to it is for KORE players only.
