| Thanks for the comments everyone! And thanks Henno for the production feedback. I didn't re-track any of the original sounds so the updates are additions and re-mixing. The guitars were recorded live with an amp, though there is a bit of a delay on the lead guitar. That may be what you're hearing. The amp settings were a bit on the trebly side so it does sound a bit honky. I wonder if I could play around with some software amps in Logic? Hmm... Thanks again for the feedback! Much appreciated! |

| Thanks, everyone. schubertiad - I think you are likely correct. There are many ways to mic a grand piano, so I'm slowly getting to trying different methods. One of the problems is that the fans and heater in the building still come on at irregular intervals, which then get picked up by the microphones. So it will theoretically be a bit easier to try miking from a bit of a distance during the summer. Thanks for your input!! |

My brother played them through his effects pedal, and then the amp was miked with 1-3 microphones and mixed to taste. Bass was done with a bass guitar recorded through a DI and mixed with a bass amp plugin in Logic. |
