| I take my hat off to you guys, great cover .. I remember (and love) this song from Paul Youngs' debut album No Parlez, with the Fabulously Wealthy Tarts doing BV's (must dig that out), never knew it was an Elton John song. I also respectfully applaud your ability to keep pumping out the tunes .. I cant seem to find the time to breath these days. The Planet Terror Strat is sounding mighty fine .. would loved to have heard a little more of Maco's wonderful bass playing in the mix, Im becoming a bit of a bass hound these days ... Elaine, another fine vocal. |

| Very different vibe from you here .. angry too ! I felt like this about an exbandmate too, my anger was nothing in comparison to my wifes though. Therapy ? Nah .. write a song and get it off your chest ! Nice one. Dave |

| Lock The Door by AlanStarkie | 25 days ago |
| I really admire the way you've structured the instrumentation and the music, really top sound and feel. The backing vocals are excellent and really add to the song. The guitar playing is great. My only criticism would be the distinction between verse/chorus ... the keys/strings are a little too much going from chorus to verse, would give more defintion to have the strings drop out a little for the start of the verse and build again for the chorus, I like a chorus to pop, but thats just my (probably) cliche'd feeling. You write great songs and make pro recordings, Im a fan. Dave |

| A guy I know did an insane cover of this to go on an ELP covers CD .. the Copland Estate refused permission at the last minute, thereby wasting 2 weeks of his time. Great job on this, tough to play but you did it ... there are definitely touches of Zappa in your lead playing, maybe Im imagining it. Is this the Terror strat in all it's glory, teamed up with the Ricky bass ? If so, they're sounding great. Dave |

I have sorted the problem out on the other song too. @RedthruNthru .. Thank you, you have all that is required to give a critique I agree about the closing verse/chorus, it's not the final guitar and it's not properly placed in the mix yet.@Mosaica .. thanks, is a great singer. @pharmakeus & @artneuro .. | @KCsGROOVE .. Re Bass drum I agree, will try some bass to, thanks for the feedback. @RedthruNthru .. Thanks, Hannah does have a lovely voice. @RubyDubidoux .. Thank you for the feedback, as per PM, I think it's the shortness of the song. More thinking required. @artneuro .. my fault (sort of) the page had a problem on it, and stopped playing and downloading etc, so I deleted and reloaded .. cut required, thanks I hadn't spotted that. @James.moore .. Cheers buddy, I'll send a version to you to have a blast with tonight. To those that have stopped to just listen, I thank you, but please feel free to give me feedback. Dave |

| Make Up My Mind by gsharp | 3 months ago |

| Make Up My Mind by gsharp | 3 months ago |
| Ohhh there it is .. the velvet voice I've been missing, so good to hear you singing again Greg. I'm loving the song, understated elegance .. nice transition from verse to chorus and back, really enjoy the build of the instruments and the use of slide work in the background. Perfect percussion and cracking bass. Love it, wish I'd written it. Dave |

| The Dugong Hunt [2012] by pharmakeus | 3 months ago |
| I really like this song, it has a haunting feel to me .. the differences in feel between the 2 distinct sections are fabulous. Guitars are great, and some fabulous bass playing, my only gripe is I want this in a really high quality recording, more bass and bigger drums. Really enjoyed it. | |

| Dejah Thoris, The Queen of Mars (Guitar Pop Mix) by artneuro | 4 months ago |
| Just caught this on youtube .. I think this is a great song, possibly one of your best, unusually very "straight" for you Art(musically), no zappa'esq curve balls, though "love is outside sprouting like mushrooms" is far from being a bland pop lyric. It would be interesting (to me at least) to hear this with a bit less lead guitar on it, cause I think it distracts from what I think is a great vocal. | |

@ShadowofNine .. thanks very much, as a bit of a blues stomper it's probably pretty close to anything from the Zeppelin, Whitesnake, Bad Co back catalogue, though with a touch of country thrown in for good measure. @RedthruNthru .. thanks, that's very sweet of you to say so. It's an unusual position to write for someone else, though Hannah's voice is quite similar to mine. Once we have Sunday out of the way I will ask her over to record a vocal and introduce you all to her ![]() @JD .. So good to see you're here again too. Once I'd finished it, I was surprised it was only 2m43s long, I considered making it longer, but I felt it was done, nothing much more to say without it being convoluted and a little (more) contrived. The good news is I'm definitely getting back into the music (yah!) Thank you all for stopping by, listening and commenting, VERY much appreciated. Dave |

| Dirty Valentine by artneuro | 4 months ago |
| I like this .. in your face from the start. Drums and bass drive the song, but the guitar in the verses is inspired. I'm loving the Artneuro take on "pretty girls" .. can't beleive it needed a University Study to unearth that little gem of knowledge though, I think most blokes could have told them that ![]() Guitar sounds great ... how's she playing ? |

![]() A fabulous track. Great composititon with some wonderful choices re instrumentation and sounds. I love Dans guitar playing, precise, imaginative and flowing but not a blizzard of notes, a truely great player, very soulful. A great blend of light and dark moments on the track. The only minor point I would make is the snare/rim sounds a little too compressed and flat for the song. Picky I know. |
