Impressive work Quite amazing what you've done with this. The control of dynamics and the instrumentation is incredible. I'm in awe. Cheers Dick |

| Orchestral Study # 7 by soulima | 1 year ago |
| Excellent instrumentation. It has the feel of the sea about it and the use of dynamics really underlines a sense of movement. Although it stands alone quite well I think that it probably makes more sense in the context of the whole piece. Cheers Dick |

Epic stuff. You'll need at least 3 choirs to do this justice. I can hear it in a cathedral setting Cheers Dick |

Nice piece, not sure if it's a symphony but then again we're all friends I'm getting a little distortion on some of the higher notes. Actually it reminds me of part of the soundtrack to Diva by Vladimir Cosma. Cheers Dick |

| "Puppets" (An Orchestral Prelude) by mbehar | 1 year ago |
| Really well put together. Beautifully and sensitively arranged but some of the string sounds are a little strident. I've no issues with the percussion. I love percussion too. Trombones at the end are great Cheers Dick |

Thanks guys. I wouldn't worry about getting here late as I still miss loads of good stuff The lyricist, and also melody writer, is a guy called Graeme Hobbs who I've worked with since our post punk power pop outings in the early 80s. Love the beginning Great guitar. Thought it was going to go all metal but you surprised me I do feel you should have warned your uncle about running with scissors as well. I suspect it was the weight of the scissors that did for him. Cheers Dick |

| Dynamic Movement of Surface by gennargiu | 1 year ago |
| There's a lot going on in here. Very 80s and analogue. Subtle development and shifts. A bit too uptempo for an "ambient" label maybe (then again what does an old punk rocker like me know about ambient ) and a touch too long for me but very well done. Cheers Dick |

| Nicely put together. I love the internet and sites like this that can turn a basic idea into a fully formed song. For me it's like having a virtual band and it sounds like your virtual artistes are working well together. No real nits except (the already mentioned) lack of bass. Cheers Dick |

| B4NW-With trumpet solo (Filmscorz Trumpet Solo) by Filmscorz | 1 year ago |
![]() Mr F, This is truly very good. TAIL I liked the bassoon in the early section but the only nit pick was the abrupt change around the late 2 minute mark. Trumpet is exceptional. I love the concept and how this was put together. I'm not convinced about the strings over the solo. I've had preferred a more sparse backing. Blimey, this moves about so much it's difficult to keep track. Oh, and there's that bassoon again Classy stuff matey Cheers Dick |

| Blimey, thanks guys! I tend not to post too much on icomp as I don't feel that I'm good enough compared to some of the stuff I hear so I really welcome the feedback. I have to say this is my favourite song from the rock opera I'm writing and I thoroughly enjoyed the scoring. Finally putting that music degree to good use. I'm not a great fan of Mr W but being compared to him is fantastic. I appreciate the comment about my voice but I have to admit the song was pitched within my comfort zone ; Other songs from the "opera" are at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=661117 Thanks again one and all Cheers Dick |
