My name's Ivan Eastley, I'm 18 years old, and I have been composing since 2004 when we first got the Mac. I use Reason now for pretty much all of my music (Some exceptions). Garageband has always been faithful to me (Right from when I first joined iComp), since it is so simple and easy to use. Now however, i think it is time to move on since my interests in making different kinds of music has become more refined.
I've done loads of different styles of music, but my favourite I think is making House music. Electro-House, Funky-House, Tech-House, Minimal-House, you name it! Trance is also a lot of fun to make, since the melodies and synths come out sounding so nice!
I used to use loops all the time, but now I prefer to make my own synths/beats/textures e.t.c. However, I'm always looking for new and unique samples to use in my music - if you feel you have any I could use, I would greatly appreciate it!
The album art I've always used is a little doodle I did a while ago. I put it through a few effects in Photoshop, and it came out looking like this:
