| Nice one, cool atmosphere on this one. Try adding a dark, pulsating dual-oscillator sine bassline to give it some oomph! If you go into Malstrom, activate both oscillators (set to sine waveform), set the spread to maximum then detune each oscillator slightly in opposite directions, i.e. Osc A detune by -1 to -10 cents or so, and detune Osc B by +1 to +10 or so. Makes a real nice deep stereo sub-bassline! Great work! |

Nice wobbles going on here! I like the evolving nature of the track, great bit of work. Good mastering too! I've just started getting to grips with Ableton 8, awesome program! We should make an electro/techno track together. Want me to send you some beats or mastered samples? I master all my kicks, hi hats, percussion, snares e.t.c. in Reason, then export them to Ableton to save on CPU power. Also I know my way around Reason so much better and the Kong drum designer in Reason 6 is a monster of a drum machine!! Hit me back man! |

| Something which I seem to have come across in Ableton, is that it seems very difficult to get the levels right without the master mix clipping and going into the red. As a result, I turn the levels down but then the song comes out very quiet! Does anyone have any advice on a way around this? I could maybe try mastering the track in a different program, e.g. Audacity after mixdown. |
