Music for Saint Cecilia (with lyrics and vocals) by soulima 9 months ago
I sent this track to my friend Billy in the UK (he's a frequent collaborator of mine), and he wrote the following.

"Wow! I found myself clapping after I finished listening to the song you sent me. Rosalind sounds like she was trained?.....Her phrasing and overall singing ability has a real quality to it. The music is superb and the composer has a real understanding of movement. It's not overly complex but has beautiful structure and melodic combinations to keeps things interesting and provides a perfect track for your lyrics and Rosalind's crisp vocal. Wow again!"

He also sent a link to this interesting Cecilia-related article.

Lounge 489 Revised by JonCSebastian 9 months ago
As a non-musician, I can't say anything intelligent or useful about the technical aspects. smiley

But as a plain listener, I can say that this piece is so compelling and beautifully moody, and perfectly describes the human condition - those shining moments interwoven with poignancy, questioning, and wonder. smiley I like the choral elements. They add a spacey, ethereal touch. The fade-out is lovely.

Music for Saint Cecilia (with lyrics and vocals) by soulima 9 months ago
And a couple more comments from another site. smiley

"That's beautiful. Sounds like it has existed forever. I'm a bit funny with classically trained voices; depending on the setting I can either hate them or adore them. In the case of Rosalind's voice on this song it is definitely the latter." (Attilan)

"This is so sublime. The words are so elegant, and the music does a wonderful job of supporting Rosalind's amazing gift. Definitely +1 on goosebumps. It really deserves a long-running Broadway historical play to nestle into and touch audiences night after night! Fantastic culmination of talents. Bravo all." (Barbara)
