Biography
Simply put, I'm just a hack with a Mac. I like to laugh and love it when others laugh.
Music is an outlet for my creativity and I'm glad I found iComp. Most of my friends will listen to my stuff bit won't necessarily get it. This site has provided a new venue and avenue for fresh criticism from others interested in the same stuff. I'm appreciative of all the feedback I receive.
When I review what I've written, most of it seems to be focused on the inane and mundane things in life; aliens, walkie talkies, the importance of breakfast, aliens and Star Wars tend to reappear in my compositions, as do works from the fictional band Haught Pursuit (think Canadian Spinal Tap).
My mother had perfect pitch and my sister has a wonderful chest voice and knows how to sing. Me, I struggle but enjoy the process and especially the writing. Maybe someday I'll parlay it into a job I enjoy.
When you listen, tell me what you like and tell me what you don't like. Much of my production is B-grade at best and I like to learn about how I might make the tracks better.
Thanks for your ear.
Kristian
