A Work In Progress by theheesch 2 years ago
You have a great melody here and your guitar work is outstanding, so all you need is some lyrics. I also think a really heavy drum beat would compliment the song better, kind of like mabdon said. But then again I'm not really one to talk, because I don't take much time to thoroughly polish a lot of my songs anyway.

Either way though, great work. I can't wait to see a finished version of this on the site!

This is awesome! I love that great pop arrangement, and the unique vocals. There's one great touch that stands out, I believe it's an organ, but either way, very cool. Great guitar work as well.

I personally think the sloppiness creates a great atmosphere for a song like this. Awesome guitar improvisation, very cool.

This is awesome! The guitars have a great, bright sound. I also love the way the drums are produced, plus I really dig songs that aren't sung in English, so yeah. Great lead guitar work, as well. Sounds a lot like Richard Thompson. I would comment on the songwriting if I could understand the lyrics smiley

This is really great. It's a great compromise between the Donovan version and the Super Session. Perfect blend of Folk and funky blues, very nice.

Really great. Kind of reminds me of the Velvet Undergrounds 3rd album

One of my all-time favorite songs by one of my all-time favorite bands. I love the punked up take, (though the Velvets are basically the definition of proto-punk anyways) and the vocals are kind of like a cross between Dylan and Reed's beat-poetry-esque style. Oh, and I'm also digging the backing singing in the bridge. Wonderful cover.

This is incredible, one of the best country tracks I've heard the whole time I've been here. Something about the drums really stands out to me, but that's pretty random. Great cover of an excellent song.

This is awesome! I absolutely love the acoustic guitar, as well as when the electric sets in. Very, very cool.

Awesome. Very cool bass line and vocals. Love the instrumentation, especially if those are real instruments you're using (I'm not a huge fan of software instruments).

Very cool! I absolutely love the organ/synth part (not quite sure what instrument that is... it's great though) and the vocal harmonies. Well done. Very finely crafted and mood-setting lyrics as well.

Blues For Emily / Why? (2:59) by MH2010 2 years ago
Love it! Great, gritty guitar, very creative drums. Kind of seeing some Allman Brothers in the first part. Very cool when the keyboard sets in as well. Nice and understated strings in the latter part.

Awesome; very punk-ish, kind of seeing some Ramones/Sex Pistols influence. Very cool track, great guitar solo towards the middle.

Great stuff, kind of reminds me of Can and Faust. The instruments really fit together in a great way. Also, those vocals are killer; very bizarre, creepy singing. I dig that stuff.
Time Has Gone by Dyl 2 years ago
Very cool. Sounds like Tom Waits doing a soundtrack for a Spaghetti western. I particularly love the chorus-- the organ part (or is that a synth?) and the guitar solo remind me a lot of The Band.

Dwarf Farm felt that the beginning of your song was good but was rather dissaponted when it turned into a rather generic pop backup, quickly moving away from it's initial eastern sound and lacking in anything to lead the music. Some singing or an instrumental lead (sitar) might be a nice improvement. The was, well, a bunch of loops and virtual instruments. On a more positive side, the production was average.
