Fedora (Main Theme) by ESAFoster 1 year ago
Thanks guys! yes I plan on play with the trumpet and sax some more! the samples are brand new from the company called "sample modeling" and they have all these controls I have never seen before like breathe control, vibrato control, growl control CRAZY! but really add to the realism of the instrument (though quite confusing) You should check them out if anyone is looking for a solo trumpet or sax samples.

As far as the drum set, I threw that together, but I plan on playing it live as I am a drummer so I will be adding lots more interest to that by hand! hopefully anyway. I have played a lot of jazz on the drums but never really wrote any, I am glad everyone is enjoying it. I will be improving with your notes right away! Thanks everyone!

Excellent Playing George. Ennio Morricone is a great composer and this was well worth playing twice in a row!

I like the slow progression....taking its time to work into your mind! I rather enjoy the many layers of the song.

haha yes, I when I played it I thought the same thing.
The Battle Within by ESAFoster 2 years ago
Thanks Everyone. Soulima I agree, I just threw that in there so there was a moving part. The real melody will start in the bassoons, through to French Horns, Adding the Trumpets then all of them plus Violins and Violas at the big chord change. Thats what I imagine, buttt you never know what can happen when I start back again. haha
Short Flute/Clarinet Duet by ESAFoster 2 years ago

City Lights by ESAFoster 2 years ago
lol the guitar we used was really really small. It sucked lol. I tried adding it in the eq, the only thing is you have to have head phones or nice computer speakers. Smaller speakers ie. laptop speakers it doesnt sound very good on at all. Hopefully I will get better at mixing though and can fix this problem. Thanks guys for the comments.

TRB Love Theme Reprise/End Credits (Piano) by ESAFoster 2 years ago
To be honest I dont really know either. its in the key of C but F is the starting point and also more of the tonal center so I believe they call that a mode though I not sure which one. The intervals I think are technically 6ths because of the chord structure, cause when I had started writing it was in C and started on C but that same interval I think would then be inverted major 3rds. if anyone could clarify that, it would be great. Thanks Everyone for all the wonderful comments!

The Dark Knight Scoring Session Unofficial by JoelGoffin 2 years ago

I agree it sounds like part of the movie. The score however is a little loud, it shouldnt be above the effects or talking. Thats what makes scoring reallllyyy hard because you have to still make sure all of the the score is heard with out taking away from whats going on in the film. Great job though!
Piano Interlude #1 in Bb Minor by ESAFoster 2 years ago
Thanks Pharmakeus and cudda, Im glad you enjoyed my little interlude improvisation. I may make this into a song. though not for you cudda. I am making a special track for you which I hope you like.
TBU Overture by ESAFoster 2 years ago
Thank you pharmakeus, I was trying to get as much realism as possible, but soft synths can only get you so far. I am saving up some money to get a Mac Pro and Some Eastwest symphonic synths. That combination should hopefully really bring it up a notch.

This is great, starting very dissonant, then a big brass theme, leading to a very sad string elegy then back. Excellent tune.
