Not bad Mesiah, much tighter than mine and different. You see, I played all partts on my guitar s and keys. Only used a GB basic drum loop... to have a beat similar to the song. If I do another version. I will play the drums. as I don't like to step write.. Also, you gave me some musical ideas and parts I left out, also the bass line needs to be re-done I'm missing a note or two that I hear in your rendition, as well as, another background Horn or Synth, I left out! Oh well.. I wanted to get it up there to quick.. I liked your for the tightness and originality using all loops. trust me it's harder with instruments, when you don't play some of them as well as others.

Thanks Dave I am working hard with this "freakin" software to get it right and just leaning many shortcuts and tricks with GB-3. Of course I could always have a better voice!

Great commercially appealing song. Well done and the production is near perfect. I like the harmony too. and the lead solo guitar. Very nice.. your voice of course is your own but I have to tell you it reminds me a little of Debbie Gibson, who I thought had a nice voice for the style of music, mainly disco/pop that she did at the time. Anyway again, I liked it allot!

Dark Eyes by DLB 2 years ago

Hi Dave,

I listened to Dark Eyes. Nice job! I like the driving beat and the guitar. I would like to add a keyboard to some of your songs, even though I too am a guitar player as well. Feel free to colaborate with me on any songs. I like ALL types of music, especially Contemp. Jazz, Rock, Pop, Top 40 R&B mainly, "some country" as well. My brother has a band that does ALL ACDC cover here in New Jersey you can check them out My Space, if you'd like. I just saw the site tonight myself and heard 4 songs recorded on a PC all live performance. I have to say, I was impressed, not because "my brother" is the bass player but they really sounded good and I also just told him about Icompositions. I thought I'd share that with you since you seem to favor rock music. It's more hard rock though. Just do a serch on "stiff upper Lip" and then northern New Jersey. My brother's name is Pete Sicoli. I honestly forgot the name of the band though, as they are a newly formed band. Anyway hope I didn't bore you. Thanks for your feedback on "Through The Years" I plan to "remix" and redo ALL errors in my songs that I loaded both cover and "original" songs now that I "finally" seem to have a handle on mixing and GB's score editor and effects, etc.. My dad suggested (also a musician still playing at 72, and former recording engineer) Eddie Vantura, recorded many famous groups in the 60's & 70's. In fact, if you look on the Jethro Tull album you see his name and the studio he owned "Vantone Productions". Anyway, even though he is from the OLD school of 24 track Scully and Ampex tape machines, after hearing my songs I did on my IMAC, he advised me to record the voice over again DRY and add effects later? I said I would try that but I'm wondering would that make any difference in my muddy sounding voice and in some cases, a tremolo sound on my guitar "after I record" and raise or lower the pitchKey and NOT super clear sounding guitar solos and rhythms. You have any advice. I got the keyboards sounding pretty good but I'm NOT happy with some of the songs vocals, too much echo and reverb despite my adjustments. I appreciate any advice Dave.
Thanks,
Happy Thankgiving'

Sorry I didn't hear from you otherwise I woiuld have colaborated and played around with your "another summer tune. I don't see a dowload link so can you put it back up or send me the file and I will add Keboards, drums, electric guitar if you'd like, sott of adding to already nice simple arrangement but very catchy. Great job. I haven't uploaded anyhting new as I been busy and trying to perfect the logic express 8 I bought a month ago. So, if you want some colaboration on your tunes I need to download them. If you can send me the files of whatever your doing I would be glad to add my take and arrangements to them, Let me know..

Get Back (Beatles Cover) by Matthew1010 2 years ago

I think your renditions of both beatle tunes are great. You sound very much like McCartney as I'm sure you've been told. I like the fact that you changed the arrangement only slightly but enough to make it interesting. I like re-doing older beatle tunes and newer songs like some of the abby road stuff, especially the b sides, "so to speak" even though I don't think you really can call any of their tunes B sides. Mainly, I like doing the ones that didn't get as much acclaim or play as many of their other songs did. E.g., Listen, do want to know a secret, because, If I fell, Help, she loves you, etc.. Keep it up sounds great..I might try a cover too and put it up.

Hey Jenglishsr,

I listen to 5 of your "top" weekly songs and let me tell you man, that is great R&B original stuff. I even like the harmonies. yeah, you can hear other groups styles in some "sections" of the tunes but hey I don't know a musucian who doesn't even, purposely OR subconsciously incorporate other writersplayers styles somewhat into their music. It's instinct you can't help but emulate your influences, and that's not a bad thing. Anyway, your songs are GOOD and have great commercial appeal, keep them comming. Some of those tunes, especially the ALA Hall & Oats soundflavor I really liked. Grat Job, now if I could ONLY master my software that I am recording with, I be uploading my own popR&BJazz Instrumentals, I will be uploading an instumental contemporary Jazz song I am working on trying to work out the kinks before I upload anymore songs with mistakes, which was and is a NO NO but I was anxious to get the few things I put up just to see how they sounded so far. One is original but I am going to take them down and redo the keyboardsdrums and glithches I stupidly left in. Well, I don't want to bore you with my problems and the obstacles that I am facing with computer(IMAC) recording. I'm used to the Tascam/Scully Tape machines, I practically grew up in my dad's recording studio in West Orange NJ. Anyway, you should be getting record deals. Im mean it!

Eddie Joseph
Oh, I am a big Hall and Oats buff as well. PopR&B and contemporary Jazz are my thing both vocal and instumental, ALA Bobby McKnight, Al Jareau, George Benson, as well as many POP and R&B artistsplayers. Listen if you ever need baritone vocals or Acoustic and Electric Guitar player I'm here!

It goes to show you, that you DON'T NEED a big orchestra or big band behind you to sound great, I know, I am also am an acoustic and electric guitarist. You wouldn't know that from my uploads, I should dtick to guitar! lol GOOD JOB!
