Thanks for all the encouraging comments.
My apologies for the sparse description of the tune.
Even if I do say so myself - I was very pleased with the final mix.
Took a while to get it right - but with constant feedback and ideas from Bryn and Cat - we got it there.
I look forward to further projects and indeed the other mixes of this great tune.

The Devil's House by FishCow 7 months ago
From the wonder of wiki:

Hoodoo is a form of predominantly African American traditional folk magic. Also known as conjure, it is a magical tradition that developed from the merging of a number of separate cultures and magical traditions.
Hoodoo incorporates practices from African and Native American traditions, as well as some European magical practices and grimoires. While folk practices like hoodoo are trans-cultural phenomena, what is particularly innovative in this tradition is the "remarkably efficacious use of biblical figures" in its practices and in the lives of its practitioners.[1]

Once again - thank you all for enduring this odd thing.
I was literally in stitches laughing (amusing myself) when I found that vocal line right in the Apple loops Library. Was too funny to pass on smiley

Anyway, soon after, I just liked the song and stopped laughing enough to post.
Now I just like it . . kinda grew on me smiley

Thank you all very much for the kind words on the track.
I really enjoy creating these abstract atmosphere's with beats smiley
Just for the record, it's not my voice on the track - it is in fact two different people doing the lines.

I think one day it might mutate into a song.

Scream if this hurts "Cheeka" by FishCow 8 months ago
Hehehe thanks Ash - you're absolutely spot on with that.
I drove the masters to the point of breaking. Especially the limiters to get it to distort and pump.
It was a design choice - but I could have handled that better.
For what it is though, a short commentary with the usual cliché sound bytes, I may just let it rest.
There is also gratuitous use of presets, which I usually shy away from doing, but I rushed it out and posted anyway smiley
Thanks again to all for listening.
