As a fellow keyboard/synth fellow, I really appreciated and enjoyed the soft pads that swept by along with the darker, almost Spanish-flavour of guitar.
Excellent-ness!

MMm, soothing to the soul. That weeping guitar cuts right through ya; beautiful tone, great concept, excellent expression. I'm amazed at how quickly you're able to produce this type of incredible music. Just one more notch on your belt, keep up the great work man, you set the bar for aspiring artists.

Runaway (Melancholy Surf) by Goose87 2 years ago
Thanks for the kind words Xolv, cant say I know much about Irish folk music, but I'll take your word for it and take it as a compliment, lol. The artwork is compliments of my dad, whose musical genius should be gracing icomp shortly under the title of Fell Swoop.
Keedragoon, I can only say THANK YOU for even taking the time to listen to my song as I find your work truly humbling, as well as inspiring. I think I found that darned button, lol, and hopefully a new tune will be up in the near future.

Very nice, gave me a kind of Pat Metheny feel. Love your tone and the ideas your expressin through your guitar. Lots of emotion in there. Very nice transition from the guitar to the bells, made me laugh in a good way, very satisfying. Keep up the great work and if you have some time lemme know what you think of my newest attempt.

Wow, those be some funky sounds. Very intersting feel to the song, are you on the guitar, bass, drums, or all of the above? lol. Very cool piece. If you have a minute I just put up my 2nd song on here and would love your input. Keep up the great work,

Soothing to the soul, I kinda drifted off(dont know where) while I listened to this. As with all your work, the musicianship and ability are simply stunning. As an aspiring guitar player, I am left feeling like Ian Anderson(Jethro Tull) who, after hearing Clapton play the guitar, traded in his guitar for a flute, lol. I just put up my second attempt at a song, its a take on Del Shannon's "Runaway", I'd love for you to take a minute and give it a listen if you're not to busy. Keep up the great work and I look forward to your next gem.

Wow, almost like Metallica meets the Ventures/Shadows. Very cool stuff, the dark side of surf, lol. Keep up the great work. I'm new to the site so I'm still working through all your surf pieces, thoroughly impressed with your ideas and ability. I just put up my 2nd stab at a surf song, a take on Del Shannon's "Runaway"--I'd love your input man, keep puttin your sound of for all to enjoy!

Great tone and emotion on this one, singing the blues through the guitar, the way it was meant to be done. Keep up the great work and always use life's experiences, good and bad, as a base for your music. If you have a minute I'd love for you to give my new song a listen, always interested to hear what a real musician has to say about my humble attempts.

Thanks a lot, its my first attempt at a song so I really appreciate the kind words. I also worked "Ghost Riders in the Sky" into the background to provide some of those hauntingly sweet notes.

Wow, really interesting tempo and rhythm, never heard anything quite like it. Kind of a western/surf/space sound to it--excellent stuff!

Very nice, kinda felt like I was surfin on the top of a V-Dub bus through space...or something like that, lol. Anyway another great track, love the tone and sound of your guitar, really nails the surf genre(my dream, lol). Keep it up man.

Beautiful tone, absolutely right on! I know a magician(or musician)isn't supposed to reveal his secrets, but I'm really trying to nail that surf tone with my guitar as well, ala the Ventures/Shadows/etc., and was wondering if you might give me a few pointers on how to get that rich surf tone. Again great work, keep it up, and lemme know what you think of my amateur attempt at Apache.

Awesome!! For a second thought I was listening to the Ventures, thats how impressive the quality is. You absolutely nailed the tone of the surf guitar...something I can only dream of doing. Keep it up.

Very nice, love that song. Your style and tone are both excellent, its obvious you've put a lot of work into your music. I worked Ghost Riders into my version of Apache that I just uploaded, have a listen and lemme know what you think.

Absolutely outstanding. The level of musicianship alone would make the song great, but your interpretation and construction of the song sent it to another level. I've really enjoyed listening to your work, makes me feel like Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull when he heard Eric Clapton play, and then decided to give up guitar and take up the flute, lol. If you have some spare time I just uploaded my first "song", Apache, and would love to hear your comments, good or bad. Keep up the great work.

Very enjoyable version of an excellent song. Really liked your guitar work, the tone is especially pleasing, nice and mellow. The drums and base, like everyone else said, was a nice twist in the middle to make it truly unique. I know this might sound cheesy but I just uploaded my own version of Apache on here as my first song and since you seem like you know what you're doing if you had three and a half minutes with nothing to do I'd really appreciate if you could give it a listen and let me know what you think. Keep up the good work.
