In the Wake of the Crimson King (a King Crimson cover) by revoltington 11 months ago
Very interesting (and challenging) take on a couple of great cuts from the era of Fripp and company that I enjoyed the most- the time with Greg Lake. Now I have to listen to some of your other cuts. Much enjoyed!

Thanks! Doesn't seem to be as many ProgRock people on this site as I run into elsewhere. I appreciate the comments and really enjoy your work as well.

This guy is about 10 (or more) rockers reincarnated! First thing that hit me was "Grand Funk, Live, Bruce Amps turned up to '12'. WOW- pass the kool aid!!
Rock & Roll Saturday Night by Gregdz 2 years ago
Actually he's into Nine Inch Nails, but he tolerated this because I let him pound on one of the keyborads and hold a mic.

Get out that old poodle skirt and let's Rock & Roll!!!!!

Thanks- I had fun with it. Glad my fat old fingers can still groove.
Hard Days Night by Gregdz 2 years ago
Thanks, everyone. I had second thoughts about posting it- quite outside my normal work, and my first cover here. Maybe this is how the Beatles would have done it had they emerged in the 1990's or 2000's.

Mile High (Club) by Danocatster 2 years ago
Enjoyed much. Yep, I uh, read, yeah read about this so called "club". As a private pilot and business traveler who logged a couple million miles in the air, I always asked the stewardess- uh I mean "flight attendant" if she could help me join the Mile High Club and kept getting slapped in the face or reported to the captain.

You need to add a few "dive bomber" slides UP and DOWN to the tune - sonic visualization.

Fun tune!

Blackened Bride-no vocals by Gregdz 2 years ago
Thanks! Jon- checked out your music, and your web site, youtube page, etc. Be glad to collaborate with you. As you can tell, I am a keyboard player, and with the exception of the analog recording (Zero in Twos from 1969) all of my recordings are 100% midi keyboard. I saw one of your comments on a recording that you were using Eden cabinets simulations. David Nordschow, who founded Eden, is a good friend, back from our days in Minneapolis.
Zero in Twos (Analog-recorded 1969) by Gregdz 2 years ago
Thanks- I will probably put up a couple others....

I've been told that this recording had possibly 8 generations of machine to machine dubs! Some of the guitar sounds were recorded either with the amp and mic in the bathroom (all the hard surfaces gave a reverb/echo effect), or with the guitar amp pointed down a long hallway and the mic at the end of the hall (and maybe up the stairs to the next level) for a"live delay".

Hey- we were just kids- what did we know?

Incredible! I am almost at a loss for words except to say that I wish I had performed on it.

I sense a strong influence of Yes- and yet, original. Talent, and a passion for technical writing and performance.

Keep it coming!
