As an explanation, I would forward the argument that a lot of music is put under the banner of "Ambient" which has nothing to do with ambient. In terms of "making music with your hart", I do that and that's the reason why I feel so strongly about it. But, having said that, I should not have been so harsh on a submitted song. Cool tune and relaxing, but something I noticed while listening (tell me to f**** Off, if I'm blowing air...): The Bass is on the left, I would put that in the 10 o-clock position, the accompanying (not the lead!)guitar I would put that in the 2 o-clock position so as to spread the supporting instruments. | OK Howard, here goes. Remember that it's only my opinion, so it's possibly not even worth very much.... Due to the choice of main instrument (Harp(sichord)?) and only the backing of the horn the track sounds a little empty. I suggest placing some simple pad's (or just one) under the horn to back it up, as it would give the track some more "body". Another option could be to use some more of the brass orchestral instruments in backing. Hope this feedback helps you. Peace, Haven |
