![]() Lovely as always. I really enjoy the sweet story you tell with the piano on this one. Improvisation? Really? Wow... This must have just been waiting to flow out of your fingers. |

| I finally heard the original tune that was taught to me all those years ago. It's Peter, Paul & Mary's "Soul Cakes." All these years I've been playing this little tune and I never knew the actual source. Granted, mine is not all "folksy" like P,P&M, but now I feel all derivative... | |

![]() Brett, Awesome as always. Thanks for sharing. |

| Guitar Test 1 by HeadCheese | 3 years ago |
| Yes, there are four, I think, actual played guitar tracks on this short piece. A better mix might have made it more obvious. The tapped part troubled me most of all, because I never really felt like it "fit," but as almost everything I've done has been an experiment, more than a composition, I left it in and it has grown on me. | |
| Lunatica by Merlin | 3 years ago |
| This was a fun listen. I kept thinking I was in an off-Broadway musical. Freexie's vocal range and the wide-roaming score created broad imagery. Thanks for the ride. |

| Tainted Milk (Gone Sour Version) by TheGreatGonzo | 4 years ago |
![]() I was listening to this, thinking... "man, this reminds me of something," when it finally hit me. Embarrassing how dim I can be sometimes... Good work. Nicely grunged-up for a (the irony is delicious here) "freshenend up" take on an old familiar 80's stand-by. I bet it would be great with a Trent Reznor-styled vocalist doing the lyrics. |

| Tasting The Rain by TheGreatGonzo | 4 years ago |
![]() This is enjoyable and a pleasant listen, but I think it's mislabled as "ambient." Generally, Ambient music is non-intrusive and doesn't draw a specific focus. This one has a lot of catchy musical phrasing, as befits a tune made entirely of loops, and shifts mood a few times, evoking several different mental images. That said, I'm not sure which category fits best for you. Perhaps it would work well as a soundtrack piece for a short bit of modern film. Overall, very good. It reminds me of the style of music ShadowFax (used to?) make. |

![]() I'm almost embarrassed to have "Artist" show up under my name, when I listen to people like you with real talent. Very professional, excellent rendition. Too bad I can't add it to my 'Pod to listen to away from my computer. |

![]() Someone just walked into my office while I was listening to this tune and asked if this was from a new Joss Stone album. Well performed and produced. I look forward to hearing the rest of your music. |

| The Twisted Ballad of Farmer Bill (original Hillbilly Solo Mix) by HeadCheese | 5 years ago |
| Thanks for the kind comments, folks! Every once in a while, one of my darker muses does the inspiration-work. I think perhaps her name is "Socio-Pathos." By way of a writing exercise, I sometimes try and turn off the social filters that make such topics taboo, and explore these off-center concepts. In any case, yes, Orange, that is my voice. I used to do voice-over work for commercials locally when I was younger. Granted, it's not necessarily my everyday speaking voice, but that's me. |

![]() Nice use of loops. The tune is too short though and leaves me wanting more. I'm looking forward to hearing your guitar-shredding, Guitarsheder295. 14, huh? Sigh ..... ![]() |

| [Session] Underwater by talesoftwo | 6 years ago |
![]() This is almost an atmospheric or ambient piece, more than what I think of as being a drum and bass track. The frenetic drumbeat blends into the sweeping wave-like synths to the degree that they become texture, more than beat. For my part, I like it, though (and perhaps more), because I listen to RadioAmbient and similar online radio stations while I work. |

![]() Nice and minimalistic. I'd really like to be able to hear the vocals, though, and that's the only thing that mars this otherwise excellent performance. |

![]() I feel like I'm in the passenger seat of the doomed car Pete_driver is piloting into a concrete bridge abutment. Strange that I should be enjoying the ride... Fun, if slightly repetetive, tune. I think I'll spin it again before I move on. |

![]() Great beat and concept. Thanks for posting the lyrics, TCO. I'd hate to have missed the message due to the muddy vocal recording. Hopefully, someone will be able to help you work out your settings so you can rerecord this to the high level it deserves. Wonderful - and wonderful potential! |

| Love Belongs to Us by Didier | 6 years ago |
![]() Absolutely amazing! Great vocal range and style! I kept thinking that John Lennon and Pink Floyd had a love-child, without the creepy, Yoko Ono factor. I think I'll listen to this a few more times today. |

| On iComp All The Time by WRG | 6 years ago |
![]() Dangit! Dangit! Dangit!! (if you're not from the South, insert your own non-obscene expletive here) I was walking around my shop and I caught myself unconsciously singing this song no less than three times now. I can't get it out of my head! Masterful use of loops to make a cohesive tune that'll fool the experts into believing you've got a Telecaster and a glass slide next to your computer. |

| Moonlight Sonata (Acoustic Guitar) by ChristopherAllen | 6 years ago |
![]() Outstanding! I'm one of those sappy types that can be moved literally to tears by the beauty of artistic expression and Moonlight Sonata has rarely failed to tug deeply at my heart. This is a lovely rendition and my day has been made brighter by hearing it. |
|
| Loup Soup by WRG | 6 years ago |
![]() This almost sounds like a soundtrack to entertain the que at a funky haunted house. This is fun and disturbing at the same time, with its avant garde subject matter and the bubbling sounds of mouth pops and whatnot sounding like a laboratory percolating in the background. I like tone poems and mood pieces. Something like this is hard to rate, so I'll just give "creativity" and "concept" five stars and leave the rest to the more "discerning" critics to sort out. |
|
| Mellow Ambient by MikeJohnson65 | 6 years ago |
![]() Nice composition. Very enjoyable listening. I recognize some loops I've used as well, and hearing them in an entirely different context was both surprising and pleasant at the same time. |
|
| On & On II by Mystified | 6 years ago |
![]() Another great vocal performance by one of my favorites on iCompositions, made all the more enjoyable by TheTiler's excellent guitar and lyrical work! I particularly like the harmonies on this one. A "must-download" for my library. |

![]() I have been, and continue to be a big fan of the Myst series, and am very anxious to see what Cyan Worlds does now that they've closed the door on the franchise. PS: Are you the same "Mystified" from Myst/Uru Obsession forums? |
|
| Tristezza (Sadness) by Mystified | 6 years ago |
![]() Outstanding! Haunting and introspective at the same time. I actually just sat in silence for a few moments after it was finished, not realizing that I was still swirling in memory. Bravissimo! |
