I'm 16, my name's Jacob (go figure, haha), I'm a Sophomore in High School, and a percussionist and in the drumline in my school's band; and I really enjoy producing music (especially percussion ensembles. =D ).
I've recently been enjoying writing percussion ensembles with Logic Express, which is completely different from the music I use to make with electronic style loops way back when. So if you guys want to check out some of those, that'd be great.
Just look for the songs with (Percussive Ambience) after the songs.
I've been on iCompositions for a little more than 3 years now, and man what an awesome ride it's been. I've gotten to meet some great people, participate in great projects, and, enjoyed creating lots of music to share with everyone. I love music, and I love creating it, but lately music has become more of a simple hobby for me. I have fell in love with the art of video production and editing, as well as graphics and design, and am planning on seeking a career in the video production field in the future.
But although I may be drifting away from music and more towards video production, this doesn't mean I'm done with music. I'm still creating some music projects, and I also work with one of my friends to create some real amazing piano tracks (she has an amazing talent!). In fact, click here to check out one of our tracks we've done together.
So for my old hobby for putting loops together into songs, you will most likely not hearing those kind of songs from me anymore. But instead, more of either original compositions, live recordings, or any other songs that me and my friend produce. Although I am giving up on my extreme loopage (haha), this doesn't mean I'm giving up on music.
