sounds trippy like cheek and chong on acid !!. I like that. the vocals settle in after the first minute or so... and I like the thin effect very emotive ..... guitar and keys are fan'****in'tastic !
I kind of wonder wether you've ever heard of 'This bird is falling' by The The ....actually I dont think they called it that but it was one of the lyrics.....

Thanks Brother, I just bought an Apogee rossetta rig and its so much better quality I can hear all these glitches, spills and blemishes but to be truthfull I couldn't care less,This song, it's like a bruised pear at the bottom of the fruitbowl, a week old yet a sheer orgasm to eat !

Cool. liking it alot. sounds like 'little fluffy clouds' the orb or perhpas tubular bells a bit..anyway its lush, I love it.

lovelly intro.......cool rythm... lots of music in there.. i like the off beat piano mottif... I'd not mess with the rythm as much myself as in my book thats a distraction from the main focal point which would be the vocals when you add them, unles your making a drum solo single ?...i tend to produce to a few fixed rules... one of them is ' never mess with the listeners dance... and never leave the listener hanging mid beat looking stupid'...for instance you do some fills where you push the kick drum and leave a hole in the kick pattern ... well if uyou were dancing along to that it would constistantly catch you out and you'd end up looking stupid and feeling embarased.. thus breaking both rules.... so the thing to remember is that your listners are shy and they need your help to look cool.. dont dissapont them !!!... I like the music and melodic content another idea i had, was once you simplify the beat to filter it down so it sounds dark and muffled for the verses and brighter for the choruses... hope this is the sort of feedback you wanted !! James

This song was released as a b side on the of the big singles....either Bedshaped (also one of mine) or 'somewhere only we know' which I didnt work on.......This song was released but it didnt make i onto the first album ....

| ha he ha !!.. exactly !! .. have you ever seen one of those 'brain machines' that have little L.E.D's pulsing in glasses that you wear ?......they are supposed to also use the slightly out of sequence pulses to create these alpha and beta brain waves !! . it might all be rubbish and it might all be true...I"m not convinced either way, but it makes an interesting read and I do believe it to be profoundly relaxing and hypnotic (the music that is NOT the brain machines !)...I suppose that is psychoacoustics in essence. |
