DjMij aka Jim Naylor was originally from England but now calls Australia home after marrying an Aussie in February this year

Jim has been Djing for over 10 years, he first got in to dance music after attending world famous Super Club, Cream in Liverpool, England in the early nineties. He was immediately influenced by the likes of Sasha and Paul Oakenfold- especially his famous Courtyard sets of the late 90’s when the trance scene exploded.

Jim was resident in a Bar in London for a number of years playing up-lifting melodic trance and regularly played out all over England. A year DJing year in Spain gave him international experience and introduced him to the scene outside England. After moving to Australia he played at various venues in Sydney before moving to Port Macquarie.

After running his own night “Soda” at Port Panthers, he is now resident at the Beachouse, Port Macquarie at a night called AudioLounge every Saturday where he displays his versatility by playing Funky/Jacking House music.

Jim primarily regards himself as a MelodicTrance dj but sets from him could be anything from deep progressive house to hard tech trance to Breaks. Whatever the genre, the music always has a kick to it, a drive, a feeling that it is moving forwards as Jim believes a mix should be a journey what evergenre he plays, that it should have a Start Middle and End.

With a keen ear for melody and an perfectionist attitude to mixing Jim’s sets are always exciting, always surprising and always worth a listen…….
