| Race To The Hospital (Feature Intro Sequence from the upcoming Nigerian Film Black Gold) by JoelGoffin | 1 year ago |
Great observation guys. I felt the same way originally, but the producers in Nigeria wanted Hollywood for this scene so it took on more of that sound. I could see where you would want more ethnic sounds focused towards Africa. But they're the boss ![]() cheers mates, joel |

| The Storm! [two pianos & orchestra] by davidsmith99 | 2 years ago |
![]() David, This is some truly Inspired work here, my friend. Absolutely love all these pieces of yours that i've been listening to. I visited your website as well and it looks like some of the links may not be "found." Just thought I'd let you know. Your favorite genre's are right there next to mine. I just picked up a book yesterday afternoon called "Excursions in World Music." It pretty much covers all of the instruments and playing styles around the world, with the addition of the why's and proper uses. A great book so far. You may want to check it out! Keep in touch, (and writing!) Joel Goffin |

![]() I don't agree with Daugrin at all. This piece CONSTANTLY builds. As far as "recalling the melody," scoring for picture, by no means, is defined by creating a hook, but rolling along with the story. Something that you have definitely envisioned and created here. The build is wonderful with the strings and choir, and the resolution is completely satisfying with the percussive bells. I think you did a great job here bro. I have no doubt that you'll make your mark in the industry when the time comes.. if it hasn't already - |

| I'm have no doubt that this would make the mums proud, as would it the rest of us. great work. How is Logic LE treating you? and what strings are you using and from which library?? you were saying in your front page that you aren't necessarily happy with what you've got on here. what is it that you're frustrated with? sounds great. Is it the libraries that your working with? I think you've really got some great ideas in your music and would love to help furnish your studio with whatever might be needed for you to arrange and compose the type of orchestral scores that you are pursuing. email me ane we'll talk more joel goffin |

| Concerning Hobbits by cheese1113 | 2 years ago |
| Also, I think it's great that you're experimenting with a new library that you've got like jam pack, while testing it against a piece that's already been scored with your own slight variations. I've always believed that it's a great way to experiment with a new library. I would suggest finding Vienna Strings Library. I would love to see what you would do with it! Best of luck to you and keep me posted on your works... joel goffin |
