Nice tune. Nice guitar
with Melody in the hills by j0j0 5 years ago
nice tune..
there should be more dynamic changes from verse to verse and on the chorus too. Guitar and drums are well played but too repetetive.
Solos are cool but too long, i.e. you got a guitar solo followed by a flute. why not an interplay between the two.
Vocals/ lyrics are solid, again..more variety. They could have been a little more up front. cool wah

Thanks for your comment. I play this piece in open G. It sort of makes it easier. It came together pretty fast, then I practiced it for a week to get it down before I recorded it. Thanks for stopping by!

very sweet melodies...nice instrument choices. I thought the tone got better as the song progressed. The piano (?) instrument in the beginning has a very punchy high end tone which I felt was a bit too dynamic.
Excellent composition. Bravo

Zany, fun, cool tune. great vocals...maybe too zany. I don't think the campy Elvis vocal fits with the serious nature of the other voice, which i really enjoyed, sound and words especially

This is really nice. Lots of tasty touches. Weirdly zany (that's good) This has lots little details that makes it an enjoyable listen.

You have a really nice voice Ms. Lilichi . JHarley guitar playing sounds VERY reminicent of either a Led Zepplin or Robert Plant solo album tune. Overall cool vibe on on vocals and guitar. Very interesting lyrics, kind of forlorn and sad. Remember always swim with a buddy!

Great guitar! Really nice, pete. Really tasty. Immediately catchy melody. Downloaded. Some hum in the beginning and ending was somewhat akward. Overall very enjoyable guitar. My daughter, now 13, still gets me dizzy. Children are the best thing. You are blessed.

Thanks Mr. Neumuzik. Thanks for the extra points.
I screwed up the vocals by peeking the chorus spots, so instead of singing the whole song over (duh, how hard can that be) I just sang the choruses over during my lunch break from work. and lost continuity in the vocal. I will eventually redo the vocals. I'm also may rewrite the second verse, make it less about political things and more about social things. Maybe drug abuse or senseless violence. I think I was stretching too far. Thanks for your careful listening

Try doing slide in an open key. This is in E. I took my time and looked for the sweet spots. Just play enough. I wear a thick glass slide on my pinky and mute behind with my hand.
