Biography

I've been a rhythm-guitarist in various amateur bands since I was around 17, playing music ranging from New Romantic (in the 80's obviously) to heavy rock. When the last band decided to call it a day (around the mid-nineties, the bass-player and I decided to try writing more commercial material to pass on to publishers. We lasted around three years doing this and managed to get a few songs signed to well-known publishing companies as a result.

Well now I'm up and running and in song-writing mode again. The whole recording/mixing side of things is completely new to me as my co-writer at the time (Bernard O'Toole) used to handle ALL recording/mixing/mastering etc. I just used to turn up and record the vocals I'd written. I must say though, once you get your head around Cubase and you buy a few little gizmo's to go with it; the sky's the limit.

My 'studio' is now what used to be the garage and all recording is done during the afternoon when I think no-one is in next door, so if my vocals seem a little held back in places, it's because Sue, next door, has come home from work early! ;o)

Just moved house and haven't had broadband installed until today, which is why I've been quiet for a while.
