| When we recorded this we didn't have many mics. There was my vocal mic, a mic near the bass drum and the middle of the drum set. One between the snare/hi-hats and the guitar amp and then another mic on the toms side of the drum set near my bass amp. That's why the drums are stereo in the mix and the guitar and bass or on opposite sides. Different world for recording at home in those days. | |

I really like this kick@$$ song. The drums are the only thing I might change, not the beat but they sound synthetic rather than real drums. Mostly the kick. It not that it sounds bad in any way but the kick bass drum seems to get lost a little in the mix. Great Song! |

| Thanks, the only part I am playing is the lead. I did use some compression and eq on the rhythm and drums to fatten them up. I've been using the Magic garageband and removing the lead and sometimes the piano/horn/keys part and having fun just jamming over the songs. | |
