| I'm thrilled, but cannot figure how this song keeps getting plays week after week. It does make me feel a bit guilty about not posting/participating more here... | |

| I'm very late to listening, but it is only because I am a forgetful flake who hasn't been visiting the site. Awesome job. I'm so glad to hear such a great and emotive vocal performance with this song. Hearing the news of the miners today in W. Va. had me back for a listen, and then I saw this also listed on videoscore's page. So, so glad I stopped by! |

Ironic, doncha think, that you abhor the cave-dwelling mushroom and love the hang drum? How can anyone not love the hang drum, especially when you use it so beautifully. |

I suppose y'all would start throwing things at me if I came in here cracking "Golden Girl" jokes. Whoops, too late. ![]() It was a pleasure to experience this collaboration from my front row seat, and even more of a pleasure to enjoy the fruits of your collective labors. |

| We will eventually run out of pictures of our pets and our trip to Yosemite last October. I don't know what either of us will do for album art after that... | |

| This piece is beautiful, rich, vibrant and optimistic. It is a wonderful conclusion to this trilogy. I know that it gave you labor pains, but it was all worth it. Good job baby! |

| Thank you everyone for the great comments. It was a labor of love as Tim's music and lyrics were already quite beautiful to start with. I learned and remembered a lot about my voice and my breathing and how to best use them in this experience. I will always wince at the flat bits, and the little flutters and imperfections I can hear in my voice, but I had to give up on chasing that "perfect" take. |

| Appalachian Spring - Female Vocals Needed, Lyrics Written by videoscore | 3 years ago |
![]() I love the extended lyrics! Her's is a very compelling story and the more of it that is told the better, I think. As I've expressed in my messages, this is a beautiful, beautiful piece that never fails to give me goosebumps. |

| That Was Yesterday (A cappella cover) by KissMeKate | 3 years ago |
| Thanks so much for the wonderful comments. I loved this song the first time I heard it, and I'm embarrassed to say that (even though I am usually an avid jacket-reader) I didn't realize that Naomi Judd had written it until researching who to cite when uploading. My lyrical juices are starting to trickle in, so I hope to have something of my very own up soon. *crosses fingers* All of the creative energy flying around this place is infectious! |

| Speaking as someone who flies her freak flag every day, this was a joy to listen too. The instruments were all perfectly steeped, the harmonies were lovely. I was expecting Garrison Keillor to follow with a plug for Powder Milk Biscuits. | |

A very tasty amuse bouche for the ears that I very much wanted to continue. More please. |

Thanks for all of the very nice comments. You are very forgiving of the flaws. ![]() It did take me awhile to get the two tracks recorded. We don't really have a spot in our house for it. I picked the bedroom because it only has one window and so our 6 pets could have the rest of the house to terrorize. They spent a good bit of time right outside the door demanding to be let in anyway. Also, it took wayyy too many takes to get a decent guitar track, because I haven't really played in a few years. As for collaborating, we've been kicking the idea around since we first met, but lyrics aren't a strong suit for either of us. I do enjoy writing, but my poetry doesn't come out very lyrical, at least not so far. The little lilt to my voice is mostly due to influence from the original, and because it just sounds better for this song, imho. Occasionally, when I'm well practiced, the lilting comes out much stronger and I actually accomplish some small degree of flair in the guitar. Not so much with this take though, but if I allowed myself to procrastinate for the planets to align, I'd never put anything up. Thanks so much for the encouragement. ![]() |

| Father Wind by Rusticalia | 3 years ago |
![]() Perhaps it is the Zoology geek in me, but I have an image of Father Wind sending some helpful puffs to a young bird learning to fly. Touching piece. The reverb effect adds a lot of richness and depth. |

| Lazy Afternoon (improv) by kassia | 3 years ago |
| Kassia yelled at me for not, ya know, actually commenting on the song before, which I of course love. Back before she worked almost exclusively with headphones on, I would often ask what a certain piece was called (assuming that it wasn't an improv, because it sounded too polished), only to be told that she had just made it up out of thin air. | |

| That would be Mango in the picture, AKA "Mango Munchkinbutt". She is a bit of a genetic rarity. Only about 1 in 4 orange tabbies are female. We adopted her from a pound in Atlanta, only a few days before this picture was taken. | |
| Letting Go by kassia | 3 years ago |
![]() Isn't she great? Thank you all for proving that I'm not full of it when I rave enthusiastically about her work and have to fight the urge to share it with anyone who has a pulse. I was just giving her grief last night because I made one little comment about losing my bearings (timing wise) at the beginning of this song when I first heard it, and now she refers to it as "that song you hate". Which, of course, I would be bat**** crazy to think, as you all already know. ![]() |
