Biography
Aight yo!
(no, I dont really talk like that, but my students do, so it's fun to impersonate them, they're so entertaining. I teach in the Chicago Public Schools and yes, I enjoy it tremendously.)
So . . . sup baybuh?! Fo' Sho!
Here lay my songs in all their glory and imperfections. I generally like two styles, hard core electronic music with a dark gothic edge that you would use to weightlift to, or music that makes you drift off deep in reflective thought. Not too much inbetween except the occasional funky happy beat song thrown in there. I havent made a reflective new-age one in forever it seems, but I still like that style.
Currently, I'm just a wee-little baby when it comes to making music. Just started 9 or 10 months ago. I'm shocked at how I'm still learning how to make new sounds with the same tools. The latest thing I discovered was just to lay the same track over itself and play it at a different octave. Or do that and then offset them by a measure or two. It often creates a much better sound than the original.
I'm currently trying to organize all my songs. I have lots of them, but only seem to really like parts of each. Thus, I wanna break em down and rebuild them into fewer, but better songs. We'll see how that goes . . .
I seem to be soley making dark, hard, beat-driven mixes these days. I just go where the motivation and interest takes me. Ya cant force this stuff to happen.
Anyway, hope you enjoy my songs, I never thought it would be so addictive and rewarding to create music!
Best of luck to all
