We're now over 2400 plays! Who o who are you out there that plays this so much? I imagine you're some aerobics instructor and you play it during your classes and some people ask for a copy of the song and you direct em to this webpage. This was one of the first songs I made so I'm more than a little suprised it leads by such a margin over the others. Thanks just the same you anonymous listener/listeners!

To whomever keeps playing this song!!!!!
The number of plays got me to re-work this song and I should be done with another version in a week or two.

It keeps the same grinding fast-paced bassline and beat, but adds more depth and darkness to it.

I cant believe I created the new bassline/atmosphere. It's killing me that I cant work on it this past week. I wanna finish it so badly!

So, whomever you are out there who has sent this song to 1000 plays, I'm terribly flattered and wanna say "thanks!"
switch that bass they cant bust me or diss me by Lapskin 1 year ago
I've listened to a bunch of your songs and I think I like this one best, got a great funky vibe to it. I dont know how you crank out so much material of such high quality, but I sure like benefitting from it!
My Orchestra Baroque. by AudioIrony 1 year ago
The second half where the lyrics kick in really take this to another level. I like this alot. Very dense sounding (a lot going on). great work!
Irish Gothic Sonic Trip Mix by KoacNation 1 year ago
Wow, hadnt thought of that. I am a HUGE fan of their album "Pornography" which is by far their darkest and, in my mind, the most danceable, which not coincidentally is the exact same type of music I like to try to make. I guess sometimes our influences pop up without us even recognizing it. Thanks for pointing that out.
Mad World (Tears for Fears cover) by SteveScott 1 year ago
For what it is worth, I've listened to every cover of this song on this site and this one is the best hands down for capturing intensity. The tension is so tight I just feel like I want more as the song ends. Like add some all out hard-core fast instrumental using the same melody and then return to the softer original part as an outro. this is just an amazing song. It just leaves me wanting some explosion of frustration to take part every time.
if i could get away with murder ... by TheShamanKing 1 year ago
Love the groove and overall tone and feel, but like my first few songs people told me it felt too slow. I'm guessing this is 120bpm, which when I go back and listen to all my earliest songs (all of 8 months ago) they do now feel like they need a "push". Ever since then I moved em up to 132, which is just a 10% increase, but it really took em to a new level. Sometimes I go as high as 142. But I havent been able or interested in trying anything faster.

So, while I am reluctant to be critical, I'm listening to this and thinking, "this has an amazing groove, beat, and dark tone, but I just feel like I want it to pick up a bit in the bpm"

this song is a lot like what I try to make, in terms of the darker sound, which is likely why I like it so much.

I gotta mark you down and check out your other songs when I have the time.
The Once and Future King by Heartland 1 year ago
Reminds me of Iron Maiden. You captured "epic" completely. Just phenomenal sounding. One of those songs that makes me think, "wow, you've got a long way ahead of you before you can make something this good"
Schindler's List by malekey 1 year ago
The only way to watch Schindler's List is alone, in the dark, late at night, sipping red wine, in the winter, with the window cracked open. I do it every winter and it takes the movie to a whole different level. The music here is eerie in its power. Couldnt like this version any more than I already do. Well done. Yours even has a hint of more searing peaks in the first third portion. Like it is meant to rattle your bones a bit, hurt your head just a touch. outstanding.
Moonlight Sonata (Swirling Electric Piano Midi Cover) by Drastic 2 years ago
notice the implied approval in my last post? sorry, I didnt realize I needed to ask until I scrolled back up. So until you approve, I'll just keep anything I make on my own computer and not upload it.
Moonlight Sonata (Swirling Electric Piano Midi Cover) by Drastic 2 years ago
I downloaded this in the hopes I could add some dnb to it. I havent looked around the web too much for other versions I could download but this one certainly excites me over the potential. I'm kinda busy so I dunno if anything will come of it, but this sounds so good. Excellent work. If I should make something I upload I'll certainly give you credit for it!
disintegration (the cure cover) by shymay 2 years ago
this and Short Term Effect are my favorite cure songs. this is phenomenal. The recurring distorted guitar part is perfect. Captured the emotion exactly as I have felt it listening to that song for what? 22 years now?

It's just a mesmerizing song that no one realizes is as long as it is.
A Tribute to The Cure by niccolo66 2 years ago
as a HUGE early cure fan, I'd love to use the bass portions as the foundation for a song. I think I could have a lot of fun with it. this was cool to listen to
The Walk (The Cure cover) by robby_reverb 2 years ago
simply no words. Chills came to me as I listened. How would you even think to take the song in this direction?

stroke of pure genius. absolutely blown away by this.
Mad World (Tears for Fears cover) by SteveScott 2 years ago
outstanding interpretation. You hit your targeted sound. this is a great piece of work.

every once inawhile you hear something that just hits you so hard that it' truly exciting.

This version is phenomenal.

Excellent work.
Earthquake by jamesjrn 2 years ago
The multiple rhythms reminds me of my first days of getting into music and my favorite band was Talking Heads, they always had so many things going on that when it worked it was amazing and yours works, it's hard to get all the pieces to fit and you sure did here.
Earthquake's Drums by jamesjrn 2 years ago
great work, very funky with a Middle Eastern/African vibe to it. I think I'll play with it in the coming weeks. Thanks!
WeightLifting Mix IV: Anger into Elation by KoacNation 2 years ago
mp3 player sounds great. Dunno what to say. Maybe downloaded it'll play well. It'd be cool to think someone else out there works out to one of my tunes.

Happy Easter!
WeightLifting Mix IV: Anger into Elation by KoacNation 2 years ago
you know what's weird is that on itunes, you can barely hear the bassline at the 2 min mark, but on this site, and on gb, it sounds fine have yet to test it out on my mp3 player.
Raving on the Moon by KoacNation 2 years ago
I always like the comments since it often gives me a perspective I hadnt thought of. Like adding another sound, it does seem to need that. I've just been so mesmerized by the filtering effect I havent been able to hear much else. Maybe an intense bass synth is needing to harden the sound, since it does have an "airy" feel to it.
Nautlius (Deep Dub Mix) by Everine 2 years ago
very smooth, flows so well, almost delicate in the way everything fits. excellent work
Piece for Oboe and Strings by dbond 2 years ago
I was where you are at just 4 months ago. This is pretty good. It flows well. In my four months with garageband I think I've made a quantum leap in making songs sound decent. I'd say I went from a kindergardener to say a 4th grader level! So I know I have a LOT of room to grow. Just keep with it, and if you're using garageband, there's a zillion things you can do to tweak each sound to get it as you like After four months I just now figured out how to get the bass sound I like (all I had to do was use the "distortion" function. Now I wanna re-do most all my songs!

best of luck, it's so much fun to create.

Testimonial: Just finished lifting and played this song about 4 times in a row, and it was the best workout of my life. I can barely move. It was phenomenally helpful to have this song pumping into my brain. I doubt I'll be able to walk after the squats I did today. Good times, good times . . . .

well that was easy! that "Edit" button is kinda handy!

oh, the pic didnt upload! Ah well, maybe I'll figure out how to re-do that.
Trance Piano Dance (of the Phoenix) by KoacNation 2 years ago
the more I listen to it, the more I think a better song could be made by removing he piano parts and adding different leads from a different style. Something to look into, but there are parts of this I really like too. ah well. such is life.
Liberation Groove of the Phoenix by KoacNation 2 years ago
This one is growing on me, dunno why. Maybe make it just a drums and bass song? I've made two songs from this anyway, maybe we'll call it just "good source material"?

Why am I talking to myself here?

good times, good times.
A Poorly Made Ode to the Lords of Acid by KoacNation 2 years ago
faking it? oh! dont say that! well, at least she had the courtesy to fake it? There's a topic for your next dinner party! "Is it common courtesy to fake it if it just aint workin for ya?"

as to the "Phoenix" theme, my life had been turned upside down in so many ways it's like a Lifetime movie for women, with the guy as the victim, and I've always loved the fable of the Phoenix rising from the ashes to live anew again, so I just adopted it as a motivational theme in my life the past 6 or 8 months or so as I've slowly gotten back up from life's big-time beat down I've taken.

thanks for the kind words
Liberation Groove of the Phoenix by KoacNation 2 years ago
I still cant tell if the first 30 seconds is awesome or horrible, after that drum loop ends, the song settles in, I'll probably re-do that first segment. Funny how it always sounds different the next day.
Liberation Groove of the Phoenix by KoacNation 2 years ago
how in the world did this thing show 16 plays the second it uploaded, and then I click on it and it shows 20? Was there a race or something I didnt know about? ah well, hope you like it!
Quiet Night of the Phoenix by KoacNation 2 years ago
hey thanks! You're like the FIRST comment in my last 4 or 5 songs! I should send you a gift card or something! The slower new-age songs seem easier for me to make, I dunno why, but it just seems easier to get the sounds to work together. Adding strong beats an bass lines makes it so much harder. Anyway, thanks again! woo hoo! a comment! (am I coming across too needy? probably)
Eccomi qui by Rasa_Priya 2 years ago
wow, this is impressive! Reminds me of Mission UK/Peter Murphy type material. thanks for posting this one!
Emotional Piano, Lunar Strings by mikacooper 2 years ago
Having recently gone thru a breakup of an 11 year marriage (she wanted the guy 10 years younger) that I did not want to end and would have done anything to repair, and have to leave the house of my 4 young children . . . you get the idea.

This song perfectly fits the feelings of loss, lonliness, sadness, and resignation I go thru every day. When a song speaks to you so clearly, you know which note is next before it is even coming out of the speaker.

I've lived, and am living this song daily. It's my history.

Thank you for uploading this one.

KoacNation.

I hope to make more songs like this to help me release these feelings. I''m starting to formulate a "5 stages of grieving" of what I'm going thru and thinking about how I can make a song for each stage instrumentally. Still a ways off.
Ave Maria by MakenaMonk 2 years ago
just felt compelled to add this: I work in a fairly intense environment, that being an inner city public high school, and I now find myself listening to this a few times a day and it really helps me relax. I cant thank you enough for this song, I mean, what would you pay or do for an instant 30 point blood pressure drop? I feel like this song is a gift. Honestly.

Now if I could only get my students to listen to it and have the same effect!

please be sure to keep me posted if you tinker with it.

thanks!

Moonlight Sonata by kpenson 2 years ago
Moonlight Sonata is by a country mile the greatest piece of music ever created. Love your interpretation of it. Unlike any I've heard, and that's saying a lot since I thought I heard em all. Thank you for posting this. I'm sure I'll be jacking up your numbers all week listening to it.
The long good bye by Lapskin 2 years ago
loved the mood of this, would make for a great movie soundtrack portion. everything fits and flows. I aim for this same style, so I'm biased, I gotta look into your work more often for ideas and inspiration
Flight of the Phoenix (Choral Trance version) by KoacNation 2 years ago
thanks, the trance loops, dont seem to be as prominent as they sounded "pre-upload" so it's not quite as "bouncy" as it should be, but the concept is here, you can see what I was going for.
Soaring Phoenix (TRANCE Version) by KoacNation 2 years ago
Oh, and the pic is of the "A" of koAcnation. How cool does that little guy look with those glasses and that expression?!?!?! He's DA MAN! It's like he's sayin, "Dada, sup with da new track, yo!? Me likes it! . . . now can I have some milk?"
Ave Maria by MakenaMonk 2 years ago
I agree with the person who said set to a "cathedral" or "hall" setting so it sounds "bigger" I think the power of songs like this lie in the fact you almost always hear it in a powerful setting like a church. This is mesmerizing, and that is the only critique I would recommend
Plush (Stone Temple Pilot Cover) by Tony2008 2 years ago
STP has always been my favorite of the "grunge" area, they always had the best bass lines and beats. At least to me. I cant hear this song without being taken back to college and being wasted at the end of the night screaming the lyrics with other equally wasted ISU peeps! (Illinois State). good times, good times. Saw em once in concert and afterwards my blood pressure musta been 20 over 10, never felt more calm and relieved. The ultimate release of stress, to just scream this band's songs for 2.5 hours. As to your version, it sounds great. a very "live" sound. Like we're right there in front of you while you're playing. Thanks for this, gonna sleep better for it tonight.
Sit on my Face (and tell me that you love me) by JamesJoyride 2 years ago
Me gots four little ones (triplets and a singleton) and if I made a list of all the things that I hope they are NOT, gay wouldnt make the top 100. I'd start with mean, addicts, depression or anxiety-prone like their Dad, lonely, pregnant before the age of 25, etc Any of my kids being gay is the LEAST of my worries. Furthermore, the fact that the song was clearly labeled explicit makes any and all outrage ridiculous. The song itself? Hysterical. Well done. Maybe I need to make my songs more controversial to get comments? . . . hmmmmm.
Trip It Out by BladeKemp 2 years ago
I'm feeling a wee-bit small after hearing this. I just uploaded my very first song and well . . . ya, yours is just unbelievable. Downloaded it before the song was even over.
