Hey Evil. Just listened. Thank you! I love the fact that this track came as such a time that it could bring this out of you. Your interpretation is spot on. You brought a real shine to what was just a simple little track. I feel good. Thank you.

Hey George. Just listened. Thank you! It's always quite interesting to me to hear what other people hear when they are creating something out of something I've created. It's a really good feeling...especially since I'm always thinking that my original noise could have been better. Sometimes, people like you come around and actually bring a shine to what I do. Thank you.

Quite beautiful. Good job. Although, in my humble opinion, there seems like there may be some additional mixing techniques you can apply that will make the overall feeling of it be more dramatic and epic sounding. Perhaps, that's not what you intended but, as I listen, it feels like the sound of it would be even better if it were more grand.

Still...it's nice and good as is.

Wow...I think this is quite cool to listen to. Very interesting choice of sounds.

I wish you would have created it in Garageband because then I would ask for your permission to do a mix of it.

If you don't mind, I'll mark this as a favorite and listen to it often.

ORANGE TECHNO LOUNGE 3 - Tattoo remix by ORANGEAUDIO 3 years ago
5

The think the production is great. I think the sounds are great. I like the mix but, I don't love it. I think it's quite creative but, I agree with elder when he writes that it feels a bit disjointed. To me, it sounds like a variety of different parts sewn together with the same drum rhythm. I wish there were some other sound that came and went on a consistent basis because I think that having such sound may solve my disjointed issue. It could be that I just don't really understand this type of music. lol! I try to make tracks like this and they never feel right to me. I appreciate tracks like this because I apprecaite the time and effort that goes into putting them together. I'm working on an electro type track now and it's a pain in the rear. I'm thinking about just throwing it out. I've been working on it for 3 weeks now and I still haven't made it past the intro. Cool job Tommy.

Thanks for the note. This is definitely cool. I, in some ways, agree with Ian's thoughts about mixing it up a bit, although I'm not sure that horns are the answer. However, I have GREAT appreciation for exactly what it is right now. It sounds unusual to me. I wish my thought process would allow me to make something nearly as cool and unpredictable.
"Faderade": A work in Progress by L1QU1D 3 years ago
I think I understand your intention here but, I agree with all of the comments from Drasticdragonfly. I understand the desire to not be too repetitive but, if you'll take a moment to listen to some of your favorite songs and also listen to almost all of the most popular songs on the radio, you'll find that they all have a specific repetitiveness to them. This is because the songwriter wants the song to be catchy. When you're trying to establish a mental place in someone's mind, you must give them something that they hear over and over and over and, how good whatever it is you're feeding them is, is what determines how quickly and for how long it stays in their memory bank. Nice effort though and, as I wrote about your other track "F7", if it sounds exactly as you intended, it's perfect as is. Opinions are subjective. I am a firm believer in the phrase..."if it sounds good, it is good."

I think this a very cool begiining of something. I too think it's a bit repetitive, but not because it really is, but because you may have not introduced enough different sounds at regular intervals, which would make the listen more like a journey. It sounds amazing though. 10 for production.

Somehow I keep falling up the Stairs by DJ_Shadowkat 3 years ago
5

I love the rhythm. I do believe that you could do more with it though. It's simple and cool now but, it sounds like it could be much bigger and more dramatic too. It doesn't sound unsual to me. Step away from it for a few weeks and then listen to it again. At that time, you might just hear it differently. Or, it can just stay as it is, if it sounds exactly as you want it to sound.
COURAGE (REMIX FAITHFULL) by doddster73 3 years ago
5

Hmm....well.....I'm not ure of what the original sounds like but, this version sounds really cool. I would give you a 10 for the production, if I could. The guitar is a little loud to me. So you made the move over to Logic. That's great. I'd like to do the same but, the learning curve is madness to me and I'm scared of it. lol!

I love the foundation. When it started, I thought it was gonna be disco-like but, then it went another direction. I think the melody is ripe for various different remixes. A fast version, a slower version, a DnB version. It definitely is not finished yet.

I think it's really cool. Funky, but not on an obvious level. It's undercover funky. It's cool to make mental notes this way. All of my little creations are mental notes. My diary, but with music instead of a journal. I'd give you a 10 for concept and creativity, if I could.

GEGA MIX BEYOND by general_looper 3 years ago
5

Well....I think it's VERY well produced. It's not a type of music that I totally understand, but I wish I could make tracks like this one. I tried it once and I came up with a track that I thought was quite odd. I called it "Aimless...the Boy Goes Left." I definitely thought it was crap and I was a bit afraid to even post it. People liked it...or, at least, out of pure kindness, I got good rates and comments. This is really cool. I think that your selected sounds work perfectly together. The mix is great and it's quite creative.
Summer's Regresss by douglas 3 years ago
5

Very tropical. Makes me want to go to Jamaica right NOW! I do think you can tweak the sounds to make them pop a bit more. There's a certain "fullness" that it sounds like it might be missing. Give me a shot at a mix. If you hate what I do, throw it out. If you like it....cool.

BUT...if it sounds exactly as YOU want it to sound, it's perfect as is.

Good first shot but, at this point it sounds like just the beginnings of something. Keep working with it. It's not finished. Give it different sounds and parts. Make it sonically dynamic. Play with all of the options that GB provides. Check out a track I did called "Then Came This." You will hear a clear example of how one can use the GB effects. Keep it up, you will only get better with time and trial and error.
