Three of the best working together...how could it be less than wonderful. Lazy Jane I love your lyrical writing and your emotional vocals. The music is perfect. Sad and haunting and interwoven perfectly to make the vocals shine. Love this.

I have no idea what Chiptune is but this sounds like it could be one heck of a dance number. Love the telephone type sounds in the ending. Are you writing songs for a game? Had to listen. It has my name in the title. It makes me want to dance. Interesting all the way through. Not too repetitive. Cool electro sounds. Yep, this is for the win.
Time To Come Home by Beatle128 6 days ago
I do have to agree with Brew when he said the bass was weak in the early Beatle recordings. I always forget the authenticity you strive for in each song. You've captured the sound perfectly. Can't stop myself trying to update your music.
Time To Come Home by Beatle128 8 days ago
I love it! I think a richer sound on the vocals would be good and possibly a heavier bass line. Just suggestions.
Billy's Eyes by LunaBleu 23 days ago
@RazbaqueDirge good to see or hear from you! I thought about that ending, but decided that leaving it open ended made more sense. He'd make her believe...in dreams while alive. Once he died the believing stopped and reality set in...again. Bringing with it the loss of possibility and the guilt that she'd killed her own dreams. Something we all do at times. Yes this song is deeper than it seems to be. I am not surprised that you got that message. Thanks for listening and for commenting.

Fantastic to hear Pete on this! Cute lyrics. Really well mixed. The gals are always great. This sounds like the real deal. You did a wonderful job of dreaming it and then making it happen. Bravo!

@Beatle128 thank you. I think in comparison to your vocal skills, I probably don't sound that great, but when compared to earlier things I've done, I hope I am improving. I appreciate you listening.

@LaFayette Peaceful? That is a new take on this piece. I hope you come back and explain that. I think the story ends that way. Sad, yes, but Billy is at peace. Thanks for listening. I really appreciate it.

@RubyDubidoux that's the first ditsy thing I've said all month...I think. But you'll have to cut me some slack. I either wrote this at 3 in the morning or right after the dentist visit. Not thinking really clearly either time! LOL
Tear Your Playhouse Down by RubyDubidoux 1 month ago
Ruby Do, you just keep getting better and better. Just since the time I've been here you have grown as a vocalist. This is a great song. The guitar solo is killer. It all fits together nicely. Who wrote the lyrics? Great job with those. Not sure I like the fade at the end, but that's a personal thing so not really constructive criticism. Congrats to all on a hot song.

This is so wonderfully performed, with such feeling that it makes me cry. The guitar is so perfectly played. The vocals, the way you sing them are what make this so special.
Billy's Eyes by LunaBleu 1 month ago
@mre thank you for listening. I am as well as can be expected. I am truly amazed that so many people has said this is a touching song with a sincere performance. It was written, by me, not in a place of inspiration but rather a place of just wanting to write something. The music by Smiley is always coming from a place of inspiration. The words are contrived. Yes Billy is real and in my youth I did have a thing with him. He is alive and well and now a counselor for troubled youth. My performance hardly felt sincere, but perhaps at 2am everything sounds sincere. I should record at that time more often. LOL Hope you are well, too.

You aren't trying to sing, you are wailing and doing a dang good job of it. Love the rock sound. I'd love to see the lyrics to this. This is a bit muddy and the words are just a bit hard to understand, but it's a great song.

Yep this is made of my worst fears. This piece easily brings to mind the most horrific things possible. Seriously creepy and yet personal to whoever is listening. Very well done.
Second Thoughts (Silent hill redemption) by Broken_Soul 1 month ago
This doesn't fit. The description and the music. The music invokes the feeling of battle. The description is something you have done beautiful music to in the past. The sense of being alone, of fear, the stuff of nightmares...I can't feel that here. I know you are quite capable of doing it but this feels like a fight. It's a good battle sequence. I'm not sure how to rate it, so I won't. It's well done.

This is incredible. I love the percussion, seemingly so random, yet so perfectly placed. The beautiful notes at the beginning..so simple and then it builds and flows in waves of musical bliss. Amazingly complex and still every instrument has room to sing it's own song. Love it.

Confidence is everything. You can carry a tune and have a nice tone to your voice, but it seems you picked a hard song to sing. Some of those notes I couldn't hit!!! Finding your range is the first thing to do and then sing, sing, sing. Great track. I enjoyed it very much.

In such a wonderful way this one seems to be screaming lyrics that I just can't quite make out. So lovingly do you play. The delicate touch on the keys transfers all your feelings and you are able to capture that on a digital format. Your light must shine very brightly.

Very well done. I love the tone of your voice. This is isn't an easy song to sing although it sounds like it would be. You have done a great job. The piano playing is also very, very good. The star here is the clear, beautiful sound of your vocals. I've always wanted to do Texas Love Song, but it's not exactly politically correct. It it could be taken with the irony with which it was written, I'd be fine. Don't know whether to chance it. I like the subtle changes you've made in the melody. Again...fantastic job.

I didn't misread the word and you still got my attention. I love the sax in this and was expecting it to be the best part...then you began to sing...whoa! Love the vocals, the harmonies, they steal the thunder and the music accompanies them beautifully. Did you write the lyrics for this? They are quite good.
Come What May (Cover) by genie1978 1 month ago
It's not that pitchy. The emotion in the vocals overcomes any minor flaws. Your friend sings beautifully. The 2 of you together sound wonderful together. The music is great, but all I can hear is the feeling...and it is a wonderful feeling.

This is perfect as is. To have added more would have detracted from the lovely melody and the way the keys mix with the other sounds yet keep their style. The touch of the keys is everything. You have done a wonderful job.

@pharmakeus thanks you for taking a listen. Your comments are always appreciated. @RubyDubidoux I have to agree that Smiley's vocals added a much needed balance and I feel gave the song a more personal feel.@Lagusaya2 thank you for listening and commenting kind man. @Smileygeezer thank you for doing such great work with what you had to work with. I am fairly sure I actually recorded these with the mic backwards. It has 2 different sides! You truly are a magic man.

This is how to play the piano. The skill involved in being able to evoke pictures and create emotional responses by the timing and the pressure upon the keys is real talent. I have seen your uploads before but I didn't take the time to listen. That was definitely my loss. I will have some serious time devoted to hearing all you have done. Beyond beautiful.

I can sympathize with the lack of tech. I have it but not a decent computer to run it on. This sounds great. The guitar is sweet. The lyrics are smart and clever. It reminds me a bit of Stevie Wonder's 70 vibe. Your vocals are lovely. Sorry I missed this when it first came out. I keep discovering new talent all the time.
Busy Body by DiandAl 1 month ago
This is a fusion piece I can like. Usually they are so "busy" they almost irritate me. This is not overdone. It is well played and mixed wonderfully. No one instrument steals from the others. I didn't notice any rough spots, but then I'm not a jazz critic.
Bad Guy Gang by ZipZipper 1 month ago

Interesting intro. It sets up the song very nicely. Your ability to create such realistic instruments always amazes me. The change in styles was flawless, moving from one character to another, each identifiable. Liked the applause at the end. Makes me think that perhaps these people are human super heroes defending an urban neighborhood and perhaps not so bad after all.

@livelargemusic, @Broken_Soul, @toveco thank you very much for the listen and the kind words. @Broken_Soul good to see you buddy. @toveco Smiley Geezer seems to have magic filters that are able to take my terrible recordings full of pops and buzzing and remove all that to let my voice come through. He did far more on this than I did. His voice is lovely and his collaboration on the lyrics, and his patience with me is to be commended. It was an honor and a great deal of fun to work with him.

@Axelbreeze these are my and Smiley's vocals. I have such crap recording equipment that he seems to be the only person who can clean up all the hiss and pops in them. Thanks for listening! Thanks for the compliments. @A1K3M1 the strings and music are all Smiley's doing. Glad you liked the lyrics. Took several rewrites, collaborating with Smiley to get them where they currently are. Oh this is deep. It sends chills down my spine. Love the chain banging or that's what it sounds like, or a whip? I don't know for sure but it kinda keeps time like on Jeopardy. Odd reference I know but it's giving you just a certain amount of time to decide. The tension builds with every beat. Short, but good. I'd like to see you take these out to a longer length and see what happens.

I see passing people who don't look at you, but rather back at you and you catch them...barely. I use the word people loosely as it feels like they may seem real, but in some odd way they aren't. I leave the musical interpretation to A1K3M1 as he knows what he's talking about. Nice work.
