Yeah I'm feelin this one, I like it cuz theres no distorded loud snappy snare rolls in it.. not that theres anything wrong with that, they're just in alot of ur tracks ive noticed, makes them all sound the same in a way.. This one here has some good potential, love them synths! Maybe during the chorus part u could speed the kicks up to a dancy/pop rhythm? Boom, Clap, Boom, Clap.. that'd sound sick on them synths |

Sounds like you got a cheap mic just like me I still give u 5 stars tho just cuz i see the potential here and it would take only minimal tweaking to get right. You're topping out/clipping in a few places... but I cant figure out if its the piano or the vocals causing it.. But i love the chords, instrumentation is okay, percussion is amazing, lyrics are good but if you could throw some more complex words or words with more syllables in them, you won't have to 'sing' for as long in some parts. Don't be afraid to throw a 'uhh' or 'yeahh' or 'uh-huh' in wherever you need to lower the 'sing' time to stop the auto tune from rolling through too many different keys n possibly going out of tune in some placesGive this a try.. duplicate your vocals and change their pitch to either +3 or -3, lower the volume, and use that on your chorus parts. Adding a chorus/fast delay/reverb will help with emphasis in competing with the high pitched piano parts. Also try turning down the compression a bit on your piano parts.. just a lil bit tho so they stay fairly loud n clear. |

| Yeah that saw is a bit loud in the mix as it is now, but i compose a bit differently than most.. I am NOT a fan of the loudness war in modern music. I don't like pushing my music to the the limit where it's .005 decibels away from blowing your eardrum out.. I wish more people made music with headphones in mind. I wish people would understand that when the volume knob on your speaker is at 50%, your sound should be around 50% of it's threshold.. If you want loudness, turn the volume up!! don't make the song so loud it starts topping out when the volume knob is only at the half way mark... There is a little compression in this, and with the addition of lyrics it will adjust accordingly. The saw might seem loud now, but with lyrics in the mix you'd be surprised how it will auto adjust itself due to the "slight" compression. heh |
