hai ragione, anto: fai schifo!

lol we sure didn't want to put up a forum about which genre our collab exactly is, guys, and i do apologize if my posting this as 'dance' might cause some confusion to rise truth is i know nothing about genres (and it shows, you might be tempted to add lol)@RetroTrend as a king of the dancefloor like you are, bro, you certainly know what you talk about, and there's no denying, as chris already said, we had realized ourselves our project wasn't exactly turning out as a pure dance one. in fact, we meant it to be more a dance-style thing, where the rhythms beats and grooves might be well danceable, but not necessarily a proper dance album (i think )@C_Man you know how i feel about that impression of yours, so don't stop saying that, as long as it sounds you fit - i'd start worrying something is wrong if you shouldn't ![]() @Trevs thanks a lot for such a flattering comment, bro, we're glad you enjoyed @KCsGROOVE glad to see you with us, cees, thanks a lot for your nice words @grathy hey mary, long time no see, uh? i know i have disappeared, but believe i've be thinking of you a lot, feeling quite guilty for not having had a chance to make some good music for your sexy sweet voice. and thanks for letting me see your smile here ![]() @ShadowofNine you suggest i change the post into Ska/Reggae/Dub, brother? when it's you saying that, then it must be what's to be done, thanks a lot for showing up ![]() |

the harmonies and concept and mix are all on a higher level as usual no doubt - but i'd particularly like to highlight the writing work you did here, with this picture of how people (all of us in fact) often turn their head away instead of acting against all things wrong, evil and unfair in the world. your work never fails to hit a target, bro, thanks a lot for sharing it with us, and i hope you are well ![]() |

it's almost hard to believe most of this was randomly generated by some kind of software, and most of all i can't really figure out how you managed to find a way to add to it without sounding so to say out of place - you're not some sort of software yourself are you ![]() it is true you make it so easy and simple in your description that one is lead to think your part in it was just one of adding a few synths - but i bet this is the result of a long hard work! just choosing the right sounds which to make the midi sequences play with must have been a nightmare of a work, to mention one thing. anyway, whatever be the case, i found this so intriguing and visually powerful (i wouldn't think it inappropriate to hear this in the background of some thriller of similar kind of movie), there's suspence, expectation and a mixture of other various feelings going on. then the final part (like the last quarter or so) definitely sounds mainly your own creation to me, which is like showing the supremacy of men on machine - i mean here we hear some sort of conclusion, some sort of putting it all together, which the machine stil can't do, no matter how good its ability to produce sequences of midi events. |

that's quite different from iphone, ain't it ![]() re distortion: i subscribe to rusticalia's suggestions; as to reverb, i don't know whether that new mic of yours is capable of producing effects in its own, if it isn't (try having a look around here, if it helps http://www.bluemic.com/yeti/#/settings/ ), it depends on the software you're using to record - some can effect realtime, some other ones can't, and you have to do that in the editing. |

i must disagree with my good friend pharmakeus here - not when he says this is a lovely song, nicely performed i actually loved it, and think the lyrics are so poetic once again, i particularly love that repeating 'i don't know where you are', and ' so i imagine you', it really gives a strong feeling of loss and maybe despair to me. i'm just sorry it's not fiction, though. i have to disagree with my friend pharmakeus because although these few years over here (and working with the very him) have taught me a great deal about the importance of making things sound better, i'm a great supporter of personal expression, and don't think it disrespectful of the listener to just let it out (be it on an iphoe, or a walkie talkie). i said 'making things sound better' because they have to be good in themselves, like this one is, imho. when the time will have passed to be able to look at it from a distance, maybe you'll want to get back and work on this again... perhaps.you'll get through, hold on ![]() |
