 Hi Marlon, freut mich, von Dir zu hören. Cooles Stueck (wenn auch zu kurz - mehr davon bitte  ). Ist ja schon lustig: seit langem bin ich mal wieder hier unterwegs und schon flattert eine Message von Dir rein  Mir geht's gut - wir sind ab uebernaechste Woche im Studio und nehmen eine CD mit unseren Werken auf; einen ersten Gig haben wir auch schon hinter uns (war genial). | I know Guitar Rig, but I only testet a demo version for PC. The problem was, that my soundcard was kinda too slow, so when I hit a string, it took about one second until the tone came out of the speakers. That was kinda strange playing Mh, I also have a G4, but the CPU has no problems ... And I do it the other way around: I record the guitar with my G4 and give the tracks to a local studio - they mix it and put it on CD; works quite well Greetings from germany (where the world championship in soccer has started right today M4D |

| Thanks for the kind comments, metalheart, jozui and ghint. @ghint: I do not have much gear. For this track I only used - my ESP (so we have EMG PUs) - my FX-unit (which is a BOSS GX-700) and - my PowerBook with GarageBand 2 installed on it That's it. The Guitar is plugged into the FX-Unit and the FX-Unit is directly connected to the Line in of my PowerBook. This is biased mixing, because I do not have any monitor speakers yet. | Hi oFFLiNe, thanks for your comment. Well, I think it's a combination of both, FX-unit and Guitar. Yesterday, I put new strings on my guitar and noticed, that it has a nearly endless sustain now (ok, I also tried some new parameters on the FX-unit). This ESP has EMG-HZ pickups and I think they are a bit weaker than Ibanez DiMarzios. So, the FX-unit certainly adds some of the power. BOSS effects are very clean, sometimes too clean - I still have not found my personal sound yet and this song was my very first attempt in finding it. Hope that helps you, M4D |

But of course it's up to you. And now it's time for a few words: yes, there's a lots of criticism about your stuff out there - but nevertheless you're still uploading your stuff and that's kinda thing I respect. To be honest, first I thought "holy sh** what's that??!", but meanwhile I'd say, you've created a kind of Luca-cult. People are talking about your stuff, there's even a parody about your work out there - so you've reached some people out there. That's cool. I record my guitar directly by plugging the line-out of my FX unit into the line-in of my powerbook.  You want some feedback, here it is: The live version of this song has much more power than the other version you've uploaded. The vocals are awesome! From "I NEVER WANTED THIS TO BE" to "EXCEPT THIS PAIN I FEEL" the lyrics really touch me. Is it you on vox? Anyway, this is really great stuff. The recording quality is ok for a live recording - but it's not complete, so 3 stars for the production. | @livatlantis: I only have GB2 and that's what I used for the drums. I don't even have a JamPack, so the sound is the standard "RockKit" from GB2. You can edit the patterns in the track-editor-window - it's not the best solution, but it works |

I like this one best, followed by "Dawn Patrol". One can see, that you are better in playing bass than in playing the guitar (I think you know this, since you mentioned it almost in every of your compositions ).I'll answer your question concerning the 7 string in another one of your compositions. | Hi Bonker, the 7 string tune is standard (B E A D G B E) and the bass also is some patterns I wrote (just like the drums). I only have the standard GB2, maybe someone has experience with the jampacks? M4D |

| Hi all! Thanks again for your comments. Just to avoid misunderstandings: I did not play the drums on a real drumkit (that's why there's no TAMA, MAPEX or whatever mentioned unter "Equipment used for this song" . I just wrote the patterns which means, I didn't use any predefined drumloops.@vikingjay: yeah, let's do this. I'm ready to rock I think the next MadScientist-Projects here will be different from this one - maybe more Dream Theater like ... I don't know yet. Trying to create a fresher sound, more complex riffs ... stay tuned. Cheers, M4D |

Hi, don't panic - I like this song, because it's spontaneous (and the end is cool "äh?" ).And I think it's quite normal that some metal riffs sound similar. But your song is very different to my "DeathRock", so I don't see any problem here. A tipp for the production (Wampwamp told me): use multiple tracks to obtain a better and fuller sound. My new project will be released soon, so you can directly compare it to the "DeathRock"-Sound. But thanks for mentioning me here Keep rockin', M4D. |

It's really good to have some feedback and I really enjoyed reading your comments I don't know when I'll continue "DeathRock", but right now, there are some other projects I'm doing and I can already tell, that the productions are getting better, since I have more experience in GB now.
