Such a casual piece. I like it a lot! Like your use of the timpani at the Perfect Authentic (V-I) Cadences. Reminds me of the "Salad Days"

I like your rhythms, and transitions! This sounds a lot like William Orbit. If you haven't heard of him, you should look him up. He writes a lot of electronic music.

I used Finale to write this. Garritan Instruments is the best I've got for it right now.

I love the vibraphone! I think you've inspired me to write for vibes!
Pachelbel's Canon (Canon in D Major) by soulima 2 years ago
This is a classic. I'm very impressed with your arrangement! And I think your interpretation is very interesting, although tempos in the Baroque Era were considered a lot slower. You're right with the fact that there wasn't a tempo marking indicating exactly how fast it should be played. Even so, you still have to assume with the way the instruments were built back then, they provided very little in the way of technical mastery especially with the arced German style bows. The instruments were very clumsy. Take the six stringed Viola da Gamba for example! haha! TECHNICALLY, it should be a little slower. Anyways, it's just my opinion.

Keep up the awesome work!

Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by tedfire 2 years ago
MAN! For someone who doesn't read or write music this sounds incredible. LOVE the harpsichord in there! The only comment I have is to add more UMPH! on beats four and one towards the end with the changing chords. Perhaps with more low brass and strings there doubling in octaves. Someone with your type of talent really should learn how to read and write music. Think of how much more you could learn. Great job though!

Fantastic. I really like the perfect fourths in the first movement and all throughout in the piano part. Damn that sounds difficult! LOVE the third movement! Lots of nice voicing and chord variations. Great Job!

Very nice block chords. A lot of unexpected movement especially the V to Neopolitan 2nd 6/3 about a third of the way in. Usually the neopolitan happens AFTER the i6, but you're in the major key...mmm. That in itself doesn't happen very often... very innovative! The only complaint you're getting out of me is that you might want to keep the top voice from leaping around so much. Other than that, great job!
Harpsichord #4 In D minor by JohnTheTimeTraveler 2 years ago
This is a very interesting piece. Is this D minor in the mixolydian mode with harmonic tendancies? It's different to start this piece on an A. I like it!

Fantastic perpetual chord movement with outlining arpeggios. Simple key of A minor, but such a beautiful key signature to work with. Like the variation in the upper voices.

you really write lovely lyrical music. I wish I could hear this played by a live orchestra.

This is a very lovely passacaglia. I find that writing in E minor is so much fun, and there are so many things you can do with it. I like how you add the harmonic minor leading tones (e-d#-e) halfway through. Gives it sort of a neo-baroque type feel to this. Keep up the great work!

I used Finale/Garritan Personal Orchestra with Kontakt Player to write this. It's a great program.

Little Red Riding Hood picking berries in the forest (before the bad stuff happens). If you can immediately picture something visual to go along with the music, you've done the job. Great work. Makes me happy.
