Biography
Well let's see. I received my first guitar on my 11th birthday and I've been a musician ever since -
I don't play professionally and I've never even been in a band - I just play with friends and by myself. A campfire is my ideal venue as opposed to a stage. I don't consider myself to be an entertainer - but it is oh so much more than just a hobby
10 years ago or so I used to make home recordings on a 4 track minidisc recorder and I had fun with that for a while but eventually lost interest. I just became less interested in overdubs and effects and became more interested in what I could create just in the live moment.
And that's what it's all about for me - is just having those little moments when my head is just right. Not dwelling in the past or fantasizing about the future or thinking about any kind of audience but just having a musical moment to myself for its own sake. That's the feeling that I strive for.
I purchased my first Mac in 2009 and that's what led me to start recording again.
I'm not going to put all of my moments in here - but if you want to hear more - you can find some more here http://web.me.com/manfromtexas
