| I was hoping you'd be all dressed up like The Cure I can tell you that nothing I was playing in those years sounded anywhere NEAR this good. You can already hear the budding songwriter. I wish I had learned earlier about the totality of a song - I was still all wrapped up in the gunslinger mentality in those years. Having that kind of ear is a true gift - it's like the point guard in basketball who somehow seems to be able to see the whole court at once - you've definitely got that. thanks for sharing man!! | This version is so great because the chorus really comes to life in it. I can hear the words and melodies of the chorus more clearly and it's really beautiful the way you wove those two lines together. The two lines that you're singing together in the chorus - they're both so catchy and well worded that I can't choose which one I want to sing along with. Harmonies are killer. I love how you were able to reinterpret the large sweeping psychedelic sound of the original down into this stripped down bar band version. It's really cool! I will listen to this a lot |
