![]() I love the bassline and the playfulness of the melody. The guitar ostinato/arpeggios in the background provide a great texture for the melody. Drums are great too. Really nice piece! |

![]() Whoah! I love the composition. And all of the sounds, they all sound so unique and well put together. The rhythms start really fast-paced and energetically, and you transition nicely to the middle segment, which provides a nice break. That piano solo is nice too, it gives the song excellent variety and sense of evolution, avoiding monotony, and telling a great story. And your transition back into the rhythm/beat is awesome. Finally you bring the song full circle in the end. Amazing! I'd only suggest dragging the ending out a tad bit longer to really fulfill all of the emotion you've built up. Nothing too exciting, just extending the fade of the strings to be a bit longer and the beat to subside more gradually. Can't say more than that. I absolutely love this piece! :D |

Wow, once again you triumph with your classical music. The piano layering is utterly amazing, and the textures you create with the arpeggios and ostinatos are so awesome. This will be one I will study a lot ![]() |

Whoah, I really love this! It's uniquely ambient for electric guitar, with a great mood. Kind of like Erik Satie meets the electric guitar. Instant favorite ![]() |

![]() Collabs are always fun ![]() This definitely has a 60's british invasion feel, kind of like Chad & Jeremy. Your arrangement is really great. The piano is perfect, and the strings are nice and complex but not overdone. All of the accents are spot-on as well. |

| @Vixen: Thank you! @KennethLavrsen: Thanks a lot, I usually always have some visual story paired up to the music, I'm glad that came across! @Axelbreeze: I'm glad ![]() @ihussain: Thanks, I really appreciate it! @pharmakeus: I certainly tried, thank you! @soulima: It was my secret weapon for the whole song! I thought it was too much, but it was such a driving force that it was hard to remove. I wouldn't want to be the drummer though in a live version of this (phew!) ![]() |

This is cool! The instruments remind me a bit of a Beatles-style song. The drums are also really well-handled. Nice chord progressions also keep the song interesting ![]() |

| Jailbreak / Stealing a Ship by MarcHumpert | 1 year ago |
| Thank you for more of your comments. @mfwmiles: thank you. part of me felt it was too short, but everything seemed to take up the amount of time needed. so perhaps as a standalone song it could leave someone wanting more, but for this particular scene it seems to work well. @soulima: thank you very much! i'm still revising the piece so I will try your suggestion! Thank you for listening and providing such great feedback, everyone! |

| Thank you very much! I appreciate everyone's comments and support. @RickWillingham: I have always wondered why iCompositions doesn't have a "soundtrack" category for music; it always seems awkward calling it "classical" |

![]() Damn I really like this song! I love all the levels of creativity and the weird visuals I get of robots built out of junk, fighting. Very cool piece! |

| Sunset Boulevard - theme from musical by ihussain | 1 year ago |
| Really cool piece! kmmfoo is probably right, although it kind of sounds like 6/8 with brief sections in 7/8. The piano is really good though and I can only imagine the complications in trying to arrange this yourself. It's hard to tell if you panned the instruments, but panning them to orchestra positions would help the balance of the sounds: Higher strings to the left, lower strings to the right, piano slightly off-center to the left. |

| Tenderly(rev2) by Xolv | 1 year ago |
![]() This is a really cool piece! The arrangement is really nice and complex, but not overwhelming. One suggestion, since the piano sounds really beautiful and is the core of the song, would be to have a short passage somewhere in the middle where the piano plays solo. And then you gradually layer on all the other instruments. Otherwise this is a really beautiful piece. It's instantly a favorite! |

| This is a really cool take on this song! Really nicely done, and I think this style gets a lot out of the lyrics in a totally different manner than Gabriel's. Great work! | |

| Thanks everyone! @ Bachtoven: Which theme from ALTTP? @ Bass2X: If you're out there perhaps you'd be willing to record the trumpet solos? ![]() This piece is still a tossup for me; I'm on the fence about sound of the percussion and the guitar. I would like it to be a little more varied and less grating. |
|
| Serenade of Water by MarcHumpert | 2 years ago |
| Thanks everyone! @ Silky: Yeah, I agree it's too short. This brings up the point I was debating, when composing, whether to expand with my own compositional interpretation while still keeping the core of the original the same. For this piece especially there is a lot that could be done with a nice buildup and nice coda. |

| Goin' Up by ZipZipper | 2 years ago |
![]() I like this song a lot! I love the consistent energy of it; it makes it very fun and lively. I'd definitely work more with the dynamics and reverb to give it a more realistic sound. Vary the accents (velocity) on the hi-hats to make it sound more naturalistic, and maybe even the same with the piano; the song starts and ends with a bang so having a softer moment in the middle that swells up for an explosive finish would be fitting. |

| The Clifftop Fortress by MarcHumpert | 2 years ago |
| Thanks everyone! My one dissatisfaction is the volume mix; originally it had a variable mix, but the variations in amplitude made the softer parts harder to hear so I had to equalize the whole thing. Not sure how best to present the mix. |

| Escape to Nowhere / Goodbye Dubai by MarcHumpert | 2 years ago |
| Thanks for the critiques! I am very interested in the fine details Silky; I definitely reduced the tempo artificially, though I'm not sure it would stretch the samples? For sure the tempo shift makes one of the percussion tracks with a lot of flange/distortion effects stand out more. I'll be on the hunt for some better samples. Thanks again! | |

![]() Hahaha, great job, I love the melody. The harmony was distracting as was the beat, but I assume that wasn't the point of this song. Theremins are so hard to play (I've tried), so I give you congrats! |
